They won the Sugar and Orange Bowls a week apart. Its so ridiculous the CFP outsources these games to bowls. The Final Four should be played at 1 location and the winning fans could stay the week. Bid it out to LA, LV, Detroit, Minny, Indy, Orlando, Jax, Tampa, Houston, Nashville, and Charlotte. Keep all the money. No more ridiculousness of winning 2 bowls in a week.

Do you mean 3 bowl games? Because Ohio State, Pedo State, and Texas have also won two just this year, never mind the playoffs from previous years. Even so, I like the new playoff format. They need to make some tweaks like probably eliminating conference championship games. Teams shouldn’t be penalized for losing in them. As to your Final Four idea…..maybe. But probably not because there’s more money to be made if you disperse the cities.

I think it's because the first round wasn't bowl games. They were at the teams' home fields.

Four football fan bases in one city for a week seems like a logistics nightmare, and the hotel rates would price quite a few people out - especially ones who pull for teams you'd expect to get there often.

Here's why they need to do it:

1. Keep all the money. No need to outsource to bowl games. Want to play in Miami? Fantastic. Rent the stadium. No need for the Orange Bowl to put on the game.

2. Less travel. ND fans will have to gone to games in New Orleans, Miami, and now Atlanta, not to mention the non-local ND fans who traveled a long distance to go to ND/IU. Staying a week in Jacksonville or Las Vegas for the Final Four isnt ideal but you make a vacation out of it and if your team loses, you head home early.

As for the logistical issues, there would be less total visitors than for a Super Bowl, as the majority of Super Bowl visitors don't attend the game. Any city who can host a Super Bowl, can host a College Football Final Four. Expensive hotel prices? That's just part of the deal. College football fans will pay anything.
