Our interior defense is a joke. I cant believe what I watched. Syracuse beat us on layups. The biggest difference between last year and this year is we dont have an inside presence on defense. Funny thing is we have the same guy in Fede but he is infinitely worse this year. You cannot make the NCAAT without an inside presence.

This was a really weird game. 2 point shooting and FT shooting actually decided it. You dont see that very much. Syracuse beat us by 3 horrible bums draining layups all game. They shot 60% from 2. 24-40. We shot 43% from 2. 16-37. Its pretty hard to shoot the same from 2 as we did from 3 but that's what we did. Also, we shot 45% from the foul line. That is really really bad for a middle school team. They shot 80%.

Really one of the most strange Pitt games I've ever seen and I'm being serious. We shot 40% from 3, 43% from 2, and 46% from 1. Those numbers should never be nearly identical. Syracuse was 18%, 60%, 80% so you see the natural progression as the shots get easier.

Yep. Syracuse's made shot chart was a bunch of basketballs right under the hoop! All dunks and layups. It ain't a formula for winning if your the opposition.
