I posted the other day about the big PSU fluff piece the PG published regarding the new PSU fanboy beat reporter. Today that "PSU beat reporter" wrote an article about how great things are going for Whipple at Nebraska after he left Pitt. I'm not even linking the story, go find it if you care to actually read it.

But I have to say 'touche' to the PG, that is excellent trolling. Having the PSU beat reporter writing a Pitt smear piece on his first week on the job. I actually chuckled, wasn't even mad. Glad the PG is back to being 100% clear on their position as a PSU propaganda machine.

Are they going to have him dabble in any Pitt related matters since Craig Meyer is gone? But I mean… Meyer was more involved in bball and I thought I saw McGonigal would fill that void for now.

The point Is likely that there is yet another demented, sick rape scandal that his gods committed and then covered up…and despite the desperate censorship in WPA, it’s casting national disgust on them yet again. So what else can they do but try to amp up the negativity to the only program they’re permitted to criticize…

I am confused. What does Whipple coaching at Nebraska have to do with P. State? I thought we were meaningless to them. You’d think they would have a number of other things to talk about pertaining to P. State football on or off the field. Very strange.

Burger15 is likely technically correct in the post above, that there are positive Pitt articles. I have readily said that negative Pitt coverage usually is the fault of Pitt itself. Pitt coverage is probably “fair”. It’s just overshadowed by the clear and present bias for the evil empire.

Penn State’s football rapes and scandals (plural) that get outright censored in Pgh are the ultimate “what about..?” counter that is always going to come to mind to Pitt supporters (but also to any fair minded observers). And it should! Their activities were/are abhorrent. Even some here don’t seem to get this, they lump the PSU transgressions in with players getting free tattoos or the like, or in this case arguing “Sure, there was a gang rape in the PSU locker room last year that was covered up, but Pat Narduzzi still being asshurt about the Peach Bowl balances that out.” Really now?
