This isn't the NFL with roster spots. If he is suspended he should still count towards the 85. Something has to give
Either way it is nice to see our staff go out and do something about the OL depth.
Maybe.... or it says that JJS never got back to 100%, or that they aren't comfortable with the younger OL yet, or they don't know who is going to place C, or they are just looking for veteran options to replace the guys they lost.
Either way, it makes the OL better.

If it happened before school starts i would think no. I had Pitt at 85 before the addition of Hodges however looking at the official roster Zack Gilbert is no longer listed. I'm not sure when he was taken off, but i had been counting him as I thought he might still be trying to play. But like i said, he is not listed now.

There was never a doubt that he would be suspended for at least one game......other than that...business as usual. This kid brings depth and probably obviates the need to burn a young guy's RS. He's a critical addition.
We'll find out who left the team when Narduzzi speaks just before camp starts. It seems under Chryst there was always someone leaving the team or being suspended for the year.
I couldn't remember if he gives a PC on Fridays, I know they do the Tuesday or Monday PC after. Man, I really hope to heck it's only one game, two tops. I know psu is 2 but I prioritize the conference schedule so getting him back in week 3, knocking off some rust for a few games before ga tech would be acceptable.
Anything more than 2 and I see it as not sending a message but being counter-productive..
