1. Took some time off to celebrate & digest the win. Laphroig Triple Wood a nice smoky way to end my happy evening.
2. Our guys played hard for 40 minutes....and ND didn't lose the game....Pitt took the win by being just a tad better in all phases.
3. It seems like JD has OKed pushing the ball a bit....keeps the bad guys from defending the post a bit. Loved Cam's breakaway dunk....with the pinky splinted. That kid can really run & jump. Played within himself.
4. We basically have 7 players, with Randle only getting spot duty, ditto Luther. But we didn't look tired.
5. James was the best player on the court yesterday....terrific game for him. He doesn't need to defer to anybody.
6. The balance of our schedule looks as rugged as any stretch in the BE. And we're not as talented as some previous squads. Have to outhustle every opponent.
7. Next year will be better....we lose Cam, gain back the Johnsons, add at least 2 new guys. The year after that could be a dandy, if we find an adequate PG.
8. Although I've been a bit calmer this year than previously, that game had me really pumped up....good to feel the old, familiar "big game" jitters.
9. Finally, doubting Jamie Dixon is just dumb.
