I know we lost Gray, but If we get Kelly it’s certainly the best group of Middles we’ve ever had, with Nwokolo returning and the others on the roster.

Fairbanks as a 3rd year player here might very well be the best player Fisher has coached here.

Feels like the key to the season is the development of Dalton as an outside hitter. Vasquez Gomez is a star. We have really good servers, libero position looks upgraded.

Chia went to Bishop Hartley in Columbus, and is close with my niece. Met her at my niece’s HS grad party. Was super nice, and very excited for her future at Pitt.

Best sports entertainment value in town by a long shot . Love taking my daughter to the matches. It’s like a giant PItt party , they never lose , full band , fun crowds, and they sell beer ! H2P

And Women’s VB is a sport where elite HS players can thrive in almost immediately- one of Stafford, Babcock , and Bayless could be stars quickly. My guess is Stafford fills an immediate need at outside hitter .

Don’t want to speak it into existence, but I think I saw on the same volley talk thread that was first to mention Nwokolo returning also suggested that Vasquez Gomez was still evaluating professional opportunities. Maybe that’s wrong?

I was always confused by this situation - seemed like it made too much sense for both sides not to exhaust her eligibility. Pitt clearly needed her, the Spring roster said it all. And she'd get to FINALLY be the centerpiece in the middle while making one more run with her classmates Valeria & Lexis. Glad to see it come together.

Love her energy. Will have always a soft spot for her & how she played against Minnesota back in 2021. The program really hasn't looked back since that match & she was vitally important to to that rise.

I may be mistaken but I thought she was leaving to pursue her law degree.

I think it is Dalton’s spot to lose, but I agree there will be no void at OH. Hopefully it drives all 4 to improve.
