I hesitate to start another thread about seats. But I am watching the New York Giants and their crowd looks not much different than the Pitt vs UNC game. I realize that it's a 1-8 NY team. But it's still the NFL in the largest media market.

And the seats are gray.

At least the Rooneys buddies (Mara's) weren't as dumb as they were.

Sports fans are thinning out with todays distractions.

For a team, any team, to attract and fill a stadium with fans they better be winning!

Winning still might not fill the stadium but without winning the place will be empty!

Stop with the yellow seats being dumb. I truly believe that it was because it's the color hat PITT and the Steelers share. Heinz looks striking, especially at night.

It looks great full....it looks great empty. It's not the stadiums fault it looks bad "half full"

Clevland was half empty today too

I'm not sure about this but I seem to remember that they put yellow seats in because for some reason they were cheaper. Anyone else remember anything about this? I could be imagining that I heard this.

I think it's just you. They weren't picked because they were cheaper. It was clear the team didn't want a generic green or blue like you see in baseball stadiums, so that left the team colors--which you see in most NFL stadiums. Black isn't an option and gray was going to be drab.

"They are Steelers gold," not yellow, Steelers spokesman Ron Wahl said. The color of the seats "coordinates well with the color of the building. Once fans are inside the building, they will see how well the seats brighten the stadium and the North Shore."

All the NFL stadiums have seats that are the teams' colors. Would you prefer black seats. The temperature on the field for the YSU game would've been 245 degrees.

The idea that the yellow seats "coordinates well with the color of the building" is something that someone in an SNL skit would say.
