From the Associated Press:

HARRISBURG — Penn State has countersued its former president, claiming he violated his employment agreement by not disclosing what he knew about Jerry Sandusky before the former assistant football coach’s arrest on child molestation charges in 2011.

Read more about it in the Post-Gazette online:

Addendum:
So what Penn State is saying is that former PSU president Graham Spanier knew. And if it's true that Spanier knew, then it leads one to wonder who might have told him?

The people of pa are footing the bill for over 6 million dollars for this a**!

Translation:

1. Graham and Joe knew.

2. PSU Trustees knew that Graham and Joe knew.

3. PSU Trustees paid Graham a handsome check or two to continue "playing ball"

4. Graham doesn't want to go to his deathbed playing ball with a tarnished reputation.

5. PSU knows Graham will squeal so it makes the first move to tarnish Graham.

6. This could be the piece of straw that releases the rest of the water in the metaphorical dam.

For a school trying to heal...they sure cant help peel the bandage off the oozing infected wound.
For some schools it would be all about "doing the right thing". For Nit U, it's all about the money.

They're more about the money than getting to the truth, since they already know the truth. They've known about the truth all along, which is why they immediately accepted the Freeh Report. The smart ones on their BOT wanted to accept their punishment quickly -- and get it over with.

The PS Cult does not want to hear the truth. They are like the Scientologists.

I'm suing for some of my state tax money to be returned due to the actions of these corrupt, inept, concealing clowns.

I wonder when the Criminal Trial will begin for the Penn State 3.

How many years has it been.

Why is it taking so long to proceed.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

Maybe, just maybe the truth will come out.

Agree completely, the prior BOT wanted this done and over with, it is the Paterno worshippers on this current board who just can't accept the truth. Do you really think this with Spanier is about the six million dollars? They want people to think they got duped.

This seems to be a step forward for those people. Bit I am guessing this will be used to further delay the trial, which is already 4 years overdue.
