1) Annoyed by the PA announcer saying Isaiah Baninkanda all night. Nobody could correct him?
2) Great turnout by Pitt fans, probably the best road trip since Tenn, this side of the Charlotte and the bowl game. Road trip fans are the most diehard and fun to attend games with. Was cool to randomly sit next to @MartyInLawrenceville.
3) Surprised that the stadium was half full. The upper deck above us looked empty from what we saw on the jumbotron. Sat night game and just their 3rd home game of the season with the first ACC game on the schedule, you'd think it would be at least 3/4 full.
4) They might be the only on campus stadium that didn't have bleacher seats. The red individual seats were nice but they didn't fold up, they were like molded solid seats, so when people got up to get by you, it crushed your calves when you stood up to let them get by lol. But the red looked SO much better as empty seats than the bright yellow. Darker seats are always better.
5) Really odd music choices/timing by their stadium crew. We had a big play on Defense, and they then played DMX "Up In Here" so we were all celebrating to a pump up song as Pitt fans lol.
6) Walked around campus on Saturday mid-morning and not a soul in sight, it was odd. Oakland would be bustling with students at the same time.
7) Nice sports facilities, I can see why they recruit well. Contrast that to what a player's parent told me at our tailgate, where UVA recruited his son...he said they were terrible and bare bones for football. Was surprised to hear that. UVA has a lot of rich alumni.
8) If you ever go down there, check out the Kentucky Derby Museum. It was awesome and they let you go down to the track as part of the tour. I have a renewed interest in the Derby now.
9) Wasn't too impressed with the city, as it all seemed like it was kind of run down for some reason.
10) The fans were nice for the most part, had no issues. There was one UL fan in the restroom giving us crap, saying F Pitt, but they're from the same academic lineage as WVU fans so it was understandable lol.
11) The one Jumbotron was so tiny that it was ridiculous. And the other one has lights on it that I kept thinking were penalty flags lol.
