The problem is that the description you stated is a description of most of the players on this Pitt team, not just Femi.

Problem is that he is the best Pitt has. Don't blame him for this team's failings. That belongs squarely on the coaching staff that can't recruit or coach.

He is 3rd on the team in scoring, 3rd in rebounding, and leads in assists. That is why he is on the court - there isn't anyone better.
I think part of what is happening with Burton is that he is being used a ton as a point guard, because no one else, including Odukale, can play the position at even a decent level. And the longer he plays there the more it looks like firstly that he's getting exposed by the way that teams are pressuring him when he has the ball and secondly, that maybe he's just running out of gas a little bit.

Yep. That said, I will be happy to have Burton back. The new coach will have at least one fairly consistent player.

Burton is really not all that good either, he takes horrible contested mid range jumpers all game and drives into traffic, not a good defender either, he looks very good because of how low our talent level is, depressing
What evidence? he play so much because the is no one else, not exactly an all American bench, capel has nothing to work with at the 1, 2 or 3 positions, the cupboard is empty.
That is exactly the point, there is no one else who can produce more than he has. How he compares to other teams is irrelevant for Pitt. He is the best we have at his position, so he plays.
And it comes full circle again. Whose fault is it that we have no one else?

The original post claimed that there was no reason for him to be on the court. The reason is clearly that he is the best option. Why he is the best option, is another issue.
