Can't go into a shell when your defense is so porous.

Same thing happened in Iowa last year, and almost happened against PSU.

Yes... the defense is bad. But that makes it even more imperative that you don't go conservative on offense with a lead.

This loss is on Narduzzi and Canada as much as Conklin.

I hear ya, but the defense let NC convert three 4th downs on the last drive. Someone has got to make a play. Not having Caprera today REALLY hurt...

And you should be called out for not realizing that we are talking about PITT HERE!!! They have tortured us fans for over 3 decades and it never changes. Peterman can't throw the ball to save his life, he stinks to high heaven. You can't win and close out games against good teams when the playcalling is ridiculously conservative(mainly because Canada doesn't trust the QB).
