commits to Kentucky.

Good luck to him. His name is way too hard for Hilgrove to announce.

Perhaps but the staff thought he was worth bringing in for an official visit.

The staffs opinion only matters when it’s a low ranked kid with a weak offer sheet and he commits.

When a kid the staff is after chooses another school, then the posters on this message board actually have knowledge as to assess a kid and determine he wasn’t needed.

Pitt had the last shot at him with his official visits and didn't close. I'm losing track, was he plan B or C?

True, we did get our Plan A already at this position. Not a huge loss, but he looked like a beast. hard to lose out to Kentucky as well. Dont think we lost many recruiting battles with them... although some we wished we did

They have beaten us for plenty of kids lately. Look at their verbals with Pitt offers vs Pitt’s with UK offers. They’ve competed with Pitt in Florida and in Ohio. Pitt went hard after Davon Hamilton and Thayer Munford and both verballed to UK before getting a late offer from OSU.

Who said he wasn't needed? I certainly didn't. Would love to have landed him because he looked to be physical freak.

I am simply disputing the statement about him being Plan B or Plan C which implies the staff has completely missed on their current TE targets. That statement made no sense for the TE positions as they already had 2 committed.

When a couple of your "A" recruits commit; your remaining "A" offers become a luxury or their spot isn't available.

I'm guessing he was a luxury at this point as Pitt recently offered another TE from FL.

Do we get credit for flipping Bentley and beating them out for Shocky last year?

His response was to the comment about Pitt not losing many recruiting battles to Kentucky....wr have and it’s odd that we have lost as many as we have. Makes you think something fishy is going on over there.

His response isn’t that we don’t win any recruiting battles vs Kentucky.

Well, they lost on one or two TE's this spring. Then they get a commit from a JUCO whose composite score from 247 puts him in the mid-twenties at the position so he's at least "Plan B". The second commit is probably going to be moved to tackle and become a project so I wasn't counting him. So I'd guess if this guy's making a visit, and Pitt is still out there offering TE's, if he commits, where does that put him?

Sounds like a high school teammate of Steph Djordjovic at Ampipe HS.

Might be a tough transition for him from Ampipe’s 6-2 Stack Monster scheme to Stoops’ 3-4 at UK.

Just a reminder but pitt did add a graduate transfer from Arkansas at tight end as well. This kid has two years of eligibility.

Not sure what happened with the NO recruitment. I don't necessarily think the staff dropped the ball here, though.
