Ohio State Game Thread

someone seems to have died on a hill called P Kante

and somehow is repeatedly resurrecting himself in what I can only describe at this point as Hari Kari:eek:

Yeah, I've seen every minute that Kante has played. And all live and in person. He's been OK in garbage minutes against garbage opponents. This situation is neither one of those.

Why do so many fans always think that the guy that the coaches feel isn't good enough to play at all is the solution to all the team's problems?
This just proves how much you act like you know it all but really have no clue. Pitt loses without Kante.

Kante

11 points
3 rebounds
1 steal
1 block
1 steal

14 total minutes of action in his 1st real game on the road coming off a major injury. OSU was shooting 71% before he came into the game. Thats now down to 54 percent. He's also +14, team best.

I mean, he single handedly turned this game around. But keep on going with your SMF / bballinsider denial.
Joe will NEVER EVER admit he was wrong. He'll double and triple down on his pathetic argument that Kante did so many things poorly which is complete horseshit. Even Capel after the game said he should have played Papa Kante earlier!!

Joe has no idea what he's talking about. He makes me actually like Souf.

Are you saying he wasn’t a factor in this game? Oh no, it was the 0 defensive rebounds in 17 minutes that you saw

I didn't say that at all. And it wasn't 0 defensive rebounds in the 17 minutes I saw (although I did see them all), it was 17 minutes that the played.

I never said that he did "many things poorly", but it's no surprise that you can't understand that.

This is reminiscent of after some of the early season football games, when people were actually arguing that Eli Holstien was one of the top five or so quarterbacks in the whole country. And when other people tried to say that he wasn't, well, Pitt won the game so nothing else mattered, he was the greatest.

Again, Kante did some things well today. He also did some things not well at all. On a day that both Corhen and Diaz-Graham were not good, he was a big help in winning the game.

Nobody said he was all-american caliber Joe. Just that he made a huge contribution that was very instrumental in us pulling this one out.

And I've said that.

Look, maybe I'm getting too hung up on him not getting any defensive rebounds when rebounding has not been good enough this season. But man, some of you guys are getting too hung up on me pointing out something that he objectively didn't do a good job at today. That doesn't mean that I think that he sucks, or that he didn't do some good things, it just means that we need our centers (all of them, not just him) to rebound the ball off the defensive glass for us to have a chance to be really good, and we didn't see that today from him.

No, someone suggested that Kante should replace GDG because he was playing terribly and Kante couldn't possibly be any worse. Soon after you reply and start trying to make the guy feel bad by claiming how Kante wouldn't help at all and he's worse and all this crap. Then you doubled and tripled and quadrupled down on that awful take even though Kante was playing very well and defending well and grabbing offensive boards.

The thing is with you is you can NEVER admit you were or are wrong about anything. Since I've been on this board for 20 years roughly I have never read you acknowledging you were wrong. Just own this one.

The only reason why you don't think that I've never said I was wrong is because you either don't pay attention or you aren't very bright.

Or both. It could be both.
