OK, are there seriously any real Pitt fan that wants Narduzzi fired?

I realize its trolls and all.

But this team is far better than we had in a long time, and at the beginning of the year most all of us was looking at a 5-7 year and no bowl game, I know I said that. We had no offense and an improving defense that still had a ways to go and a super tough schedule.

We then barely lose to PSU and now Miami, both who have over 33 4 and 5 star players, and frankly we outgained both with a feeble offense. Is there really outrage here? Anyone watching this game can see out team, our gameplan, and athleticism were better than theirs.

I certainly think we need to lock this coach up for more years. Not only him, but Bates and Whipple too. For sure the best coaching staff Ive seen since the 80s

One could say you’re trolling in the opposite direction. I don’t see how you extend him. 5 years in and this is the offense? And I don’t see any great leaps for many. There’s not much talent on that side of the ball.

Next year he needs 9. If we get 7 or less next year, he needs to be sent packing. We get 8, Heather has to decide if that is acceptable or she feels she can hire a better coach.

Pitt hasn't gave a damn about football in almost 40 years and still doesn't

I dont understand how you can say this?? He has had 2 of Pitts top 3 offenses in Pitt history.

Because this year has 4 new olinemen, both new rbs, zippo TEs and no WRs suddenly this is the offense you think he wants?

Its irrational thinking.

Firing and starting over is what Pitt has tried for 40 years

It doesn’t work

The damage done by starting over again would be worse than if players would just find a way to make normal college football plays... like picking up first downs and catching passes. It’s literally why they are on the field

I didn’t say it was the offense that he wants. But these are the guys he recruited. Year 5. And they stink. They’ve trended down since the year of the jet sweep.

Fired ?
No

extended?
No
Agree. I predicted 7-5 and I think that's what we will get. I expected this was the Kenny picket we would see all season thank God he has been better. I did not expect the constant drops. These te and wr have absolutely horrible hands
Now if Pitt can't get past 8 wins next year I think they have a discision to make on PN. Team loses a ton after 2020 and if he can't win 9 or 10 next year with a favorable schedule it may be time to move on or just be happy at 7-5 or 8-4

Sticking with a mediocre coach has been tried, too
With the same results

I think you have to wait to see how things work out next year. I’d they have a really good year (10 wins or more) you extend him. Next year is the year they return a fair amount of talent on both sides of the ball. If they crap the bed again I think you have to seriously consider changing directions

Not true, the offense last year was very good.

I think it is a ludicrous statement. That is like saying Franklin should go cause their offense is only 41st this year despite playing a pathetic schedule and throwing long bombs up by 50 in the 4th quarter. Or saying their RB isnt as good as Saqueen Barkley so the rb coach should go. Its insane to think an offense will only improve every single year

yeah this was a total crap fest , Pitt was clearly the better team and LOST.

I think Pitt is the better team but they are not clearly the better team. They lost because their Qb had an awful game and their wrs has too many drops and a fumble.

lost in all the bitching is the fact that the Miami Qb was clutch in that last drive. The kid played very well. Of course what else would you expect against Pitt

This is exactly right.

We lost the game when we sat on the ball when we had the chance to put it away.

Narduzzi is about the same as every coach since Wannstedt. Basically a .500 team. I actually think kids love playing for him. He's a lot like Andy Reid a great players coach who has no clue about game or time management. Winning games they have no right winning and losing games they have no right losing. I just don't see how Pitt will ever attract a big enough name to ever be a powerhouse again. I think they university is happy with just being good enough to keep fans interested and taking in all that ACC money. They are not going to cut corners or invest in a top ten program. Especially when it doesn't mean any more revenue in the end.

I stand corrected. The running game last year was fantastic. Not sure how but I forgot.

Not fired, but he needs to feel a little heat beneath his seat. It’s year 5 and we play in a complete joke of a division. After going 3-1 in the non-conference, there’s absolutely no excuse for winning less than 10 games this regular season. To start off 2-2 in conference is just ridiculous.

I really still wanna see what this team next year looks like under Narduzzi. This loss today was just so pathetic though, seriously how many times do we have to see this play out? I’m starting to think this program will never really be good again.

Give him enough rope, he’ll hang himself. Just like Foge, Gottfried, Walt and Wanny. Whether it be UConn, Toledo, Temple or BC. The actors change but the story never does.

Are you seriously comparing UConn, Toledo and Temple to Miami??? A team with an average of nearly 4 stars for the whole team? good lord. This was flagged as a L at the beginning of the year, and we lost to a good team.

We've been sticking with that for 35+ years. Why change now?

We keep saying, "Let's see what it looks like next year". Then next year comes, and it looks the same. It's been looking the same for 35+ years. Unless we hire some big splash head coach and a great bunch of position coaches with him along with recruiting a bevy of 4* and 5* players, nothing will change.

Same. I feel this coach has made it so can beat any team. He has transformed the defense and due to 4 different offensive coordinators our offense doesn’t have the 4 star talent it would if Canada was coach the whole time

Hence why after today I’m not really as excited about next year anymore. Even if we come out and look even better than expected, are we actually gonna catch a break here and there? Are we going to all of a sudden be immune from the idiotic decisions every coach has made here for 35+ years? Are we going to stop losing games in the dumbest ways humanly possible?

The defense is very good this year, but has also let us down at times (mainly that last drive today). We are still 2-2 in a complete joke of a division. We lose games that have no business even coming down to the wire like it’s our job.

Year 5 under a coach is basically what your program will be under that coach. We can accept mediocrity or blow it all up and take years and years just to become mediocre again. Until they prove otherwise I don’t see any reason to be more optimistic than that anymore.

what was the bad decision today?

are you trying to say we don’t go undefeated every year? Yeah no kidding. Relax. We lost a close game. We played well overall, just didn’t have the fire power.

Some of you (like you) call people trolls every time they criticize Narduzzi.
He should be criticized.
I don't think he should be fired but he is a terrible game day coach similar to Wanny.
I don't think Wanny should have been fired either.
We're no further ahead with Narduzzi vs Wanny Pitt just wasted alot of money and football program time treading water for six or more years.
Most people drown treading water for that long.

The chryst players are gone
And so is the offense
Thank God.

I know the results aren’t as good as previous Narduzzi offenses, but Whipple looks like he is an excellent offensive mind. He can’t throw and catch for the players but man we have receivers open most always

Well overall? We played like complete garbage. As for the decision, that was a general statement just spanning the years and years of mind boggling losses. But since you brought it up, that 3rd and 5 play call today honest to god was worse than the decision to kick the FG against PSU. You’re flat out not trying to win the game if your thought process there is “ok, let’s just punt from our own 30 and see what happens.”
