Does anyone know anything about the rumor WR Washington being hurt. Rumor is he's trying to play with a hernia. Not sure if it true or not. Would help our cause if true.

Well, if it's like Hamlin's purported Mystery Hernia, the kid better crack down on his studies because apparently those are incurable. o_O

Hamlin better RS this year. He isn't even in the Top 10-12 DB's. I am hearing true freshmen like Mathis and Pinnock get mentioned before him. His hernia may be a career-ender, oddly enough.

We have massive injuries and suspensions, so I think we will have trouble with any opponent until we get our team back.

One thing i remember about last year OSU game was they had like 7 deep good fast receivers, so it wont matter

Duzz is on record as wanting to ease Hamlin back in. Good reason why others are mentioned before him. As for his injury being a possible career ender, I heard that too. Just now. From you.

I think it was a big time grad- transfer WR that OSU got. Just what we needed them to get.

Go Pitt

Our luck, he will play. Hernia keeps our star recruit on bench for 2 years, won't keep our opponent out for 2 months.

With all of the injuries suspensions, dismissals, that goes back years Pittsburgh has made a change to an exit sign.

The new Oakland Exit Off 376.
Exit at your own risk.

Indeed. Programs that were smart enough to kiss the rear of their alumni properly, and not push them away, can more easily absorb an injury. 5 more like him were typically purchased for insurance. Hence a top 10

But ... we have those unparalleled upmc medical resources at our disposal!

Maybe Hamlin has been going to West Penn by accident.

I am not a medical professional but a long-term chronic hernia seems very bizarre. Seems as if it might be something else much more serious. Cancer kept James Conner on the sideline for less time.

Hamlin has had this injury since his So/Jr year in HS. This is nothing new. He said he feels better today than he has in awhile.

Hernias are all different. I had a situation where I had multiple vertically and what I thought was gonna be a rough weekend, turned into months of hell. Cut a long vertices line, cut my sides to pull muscle over and attached it with pig skin over mesh. I couldn't clear my throat or cough without experiencing a world of hurt.

OK, but this is something that has been lingering for like 3-4 years it sounds like. I've never heard of that.

If Rudolph lobs up 40 yard go routes every other play and they pass for 300 yards in the first half (again) it's going to be very hard not to get mad at Duzz for defensive game planning.

Not a grad transfer. Tyron Johnson is a five-star, ESPN 100 receiver who transferred from LSU after his Freshman season. He sat out last year and he has three years of eligibility left. He's been tearing it up during Fall camp.

Washington has apparently been playing with this since high school. He should be 95% and is still on track to be a first round draft pick.

We are legitimately two deep at all three receiver positions this season (3 deep at the outside receivers position). The scuttlebutt out of camp is that they are looking at running the hurry up and then changing WRs like a hockey line to stress the other team's DBs, especially if they're young. The hope is to keep either the starters gassed, or for inexperienced backs to be platooned in.

We should know by the Tulsa game if this works.

Likely a sports hernia. Tough to diagnose. Sometimes treated with rest, sometimes with surgery. Depends on the situation. Surgery can lay them up for a couple of months with no activity. If Hamlin has recurrence of pain he will likely need surgery. It's different from a typical hernia you might be familiar with.
