Just seems to have "it." I called for the benching of Johnson months ago and like always, I was right. I know basketball. Johnson was not a winning player and isnt a loss. Toney is. Champagnie is. If Champagnie were to come back, this team has a shot at the NIT.

I totally agree with the title of
your post. Of course you lost
all credibility as you usually do
with your......"and like always, I
was right."

SMF KNOWS BASKETBALL

SMF doesn't know his ass
from a hole in the ground.

BballinsiderfromPitt swore up and down Johnson wasn't just better than Femi but like light years better. Chalk another one up for the 🐐

Yes, one of the 14 ACC wins Johnson had in almost 3 years. You still think Johnson is better?
Not even a question. He led a high major conference in assists and is extremely coveted in the transfer portal. One of the top 5 transfers there is

Horton and Champagnie fell off a cliff without XJ. Must’ve been from all that winning Femi was doing.

We beat Miami with XJ. We lost to them with Femi. You sure should chalk that one up for the goat! Just like u said!
X played 2 minutes longer than Femi and shot a lower percentage than Femi in that game. Femi probably contributed more to the win.

BTW, I'll never forgive you for making me post something that aids SMF in a debate. 😉

Nike surged
I agree x is better since he has 2 more years under his belt
But Femi is way way better than you suggested he’d be
Nike surged simply due to minutes he obviously should’ve been getting all year. When you know you’re gonna play you have a better feel.

Femi is fine. He won’t be a PG that takes us to an ncaa tournament.

Moses wouldn’t make the NCAA tournament with the Bigs we have on this team.
Insert witty biblical reference.

that’s fair, but it shows how stupid the argument is that Femi is a “winning” player and XJ isn’t based on neither of them ever having won (especially with the bigs they were dealt). Just a typical SMF victory lap on the basis of nothing.

But it should be noted, if this team had Moses Wright on it as it's big man they perhaps would have made the tournament.

For instance today, I'll bet he'd have gotten us just a little better line than we got out of our starting center, 23 minutes of 0 points, 0 rebounds and 0 assists.

True...... but even when we had Gandhi and Moses on the Pitt roster we still couldn’t get to the promised land.

Femi is better for team ball. He's simply smarter. He's got to work on some stuff.
But he's going to be really good for this team.
I disagreed with my man bball insider from the beginning on him.

After watching these reserves play. What i think Capel should've done is used a much deeper bench all year, i think it would've been better for the team as a whole.

we lost to wake forest with xj and won without him.

what a stupid point.
This whole thread is a stupid point.

One PG lead the ACC in assists. The other didn’t. 2 starters fell off a cliff when the one who lead the ACC in assists left and AKC turned into a D2 player. What are we even doing here?

But nothing really matters with the bigs we have/had.

And I agree it was dumb. I was just trying to quickly refute SMF’s dumb point that Femi is a winning player (during a loss) while XJ isn’t. They both need more help. Obviously

it’s like the insane people who turn on the NBA in May and say see I told you Russell Westbrook wasn’t a winner as he loses in the conference finals after averaging a triple double.

Prob half that actually. But better training and competition. And there is the 250k. No brainer.

Have there been players ranked that low that have gotten G league deals? Im not saying he wont go. I would be more worried about him going to real college program over the g league

Isaiah Todd’s composite was 20. The difference between 20/23 is negligible for a couple hundred K

he is obviously plenty good enough to take us to an NCAA tourney if he has just normal improvement and we have a decent amount of talent around him. He can't take us to a tourney 1 on 5, I agree there.

I dont know why anyone would play college ball for free and pass up a few hundred thou

Because a lot of guys get say 50k AND get the perks of college basketball.. college lifestyle, first class food, travel, games on ESPN in packed arenas, etc... and you still get millions months later.

If I was from a poor family I’d probably go the G League route but if taking care of my family wasn’t a concern I’d go be the big man on campus for 9 months.

Second paragraph is spot on. Horton played way too much. X, Toney and Champ could've played fewer minutes and it would have helped in the long run.

I could be wrong of course but I think the upside for Femi is really really high if he works on his FT shooting and shot in the offseason. He was a beast against Miami.
