It was reported online at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, but I will be shocked if any of the local TV media outlets bring this up even though CNN has multiple crawlers running with the news.

Curious what Cook will have to say? Bueller? Bueller?
 
It has been the top story on the PG website since last night, so perhaps their new sports editor likes reporting news.

So far, as I sit at my desk, nothing. It is not even on the Fan's sports updates. Nothing. I will give DKOnSports credit, even Audrey Friggin Snyder has at least a report on it today.

The PG ran the AP line from the Penn Live article. But no commentary from a Cook, a Collier. But hey, did you know James Franklin used to visit an aunt who lived in Pittsburgh when he was a kid.

I have a feeling ol' double M will have something to say on this today......and Starkey and Mueller don't seem to be big fans of the Penn State way, and Mueller graduated from there
 
Ron Cook is finally commenting it. But taking a neutral stand. Saying people who are "pro Paterno" will always defend him and people who are "anti Paterno" will always believe any news suggesting he knew.

Boy, tough stand. And isn't this more than "pro" or "anti" but right or wrong? Christ this guy doesn't get it.

As one attorney told me along time ago. Follow the money and even if the truth doesn't come out the money
tells you who to believe. The fact that ups was so eager to settle all these law suits tells me that they knew
and were willing to by silence.

ABC News has picked it up. but they seem to be regarding PennLive as equivalent to TMZ, apparently ignoring or disregarding (or perhaps not even being aware of?) PennLIve's connection to the Harrisburg Patriot-News . . . you know, the newspaper that earned Pulitzer Prizes for its role in bringing the Sandusky matter to light in the first place.

Cook is the worst, a paterno/Bradley/Psu ball washer. He told us all 5 years ago the healing had started, and that it was time to move on.

I'm sorry, paterno knew. He enabled, and if he was alive he'd be on trial too.

Are their investigative reporters on it? Their columnists? Or are they just going to try to get away with regurgitating the obligatory wire service stuff? What is the Post-Gazette's opinion about this? Or would they just rather not say and stay middle-of-the-road so as not to offend or embarrass anybody? Because it's the nits.

Many of the local media have their diploma from the diploma mill in the central part of the state. They cling onto the disgraced football coach who passed away from a broken soul and revere him as he “did so many good things” that the one little over looking of a pedophile should be ignored!

Tonight will be an interesting test. Two stations have corresponding sports roundtables. Channel 2 and Channel 11

Channel 11's panel tonight is Madden, John Steigerwald and Dejan. Moderated by Alby Oxenreiter.

Channel 2's panel is usually FAN personalities, moderated by Pompeani. So it will be some combo of Mueller, Filaponi, Starkey, Mack, Benz is on there as is Zeise.

Be interesting to see if either or both broach this topic and if they do...what will they say?
 
The Media smells blood, still very hard for me to believe Joe knew and did nothing? Yet, This Broadcasts outline things showing there was much confusion but they all doubt Joe did not know and all one can do is listen and decide. I still believe he did not know, but time will provide more insight. Other media calling for All Records be removed.

NYT just checked in with their take. not complimentary to suepa and the rest of the paterno clan. seriously -they got their money-let it go. they know in their hearts what their daddy did.

Many opinions already formed, PSU CULTists attacked many Media and now they were waiting for a comeback and I have no problem with anyone giving their own opinions versus my own.

On another thread Doug Gottlieb Radio Show discusses it in full link and does not believe Paterno nor does Sally Jenkins and Others:
