One mistke from coaching staff

Overall, I am extremely happy with the direction of the team.

There was a big error in my opinion on the last Pitt drive for a TD.

Yes, I know its never smart to complain on a drive that nets 7, but I think the team on first and 10 from Iowa's 9 or so, should have run the ball on first down. The reason is so that they could have kicked 20-30 seconds off the clock. An insurance plan that Iowa cannot get the ball back with any time left.

At that point Pitt is in 4 down territory, and they had some time-outs. At 1 minute left, in that position, time on the clock could only have hurt Pitt, thus the smart thing to me is to burn the clock down a tad to say 35 seconds and then go 3 downs to make the TD.

Coach N. also should have gone for it on the next to last drive for Pitt.

I BELIEVE THAT COACH N. is the man for the job. Just fix a few game management issues (namely, sticking to Peterman).

Might be tough to get to 7 wins due to the remaining schedule. Nobody left on the schedule who is an easy win. Tonight was a bad loss in terms of the 2015 season but I am overall very impressed with the team

Seems to me everyone else is overreacting, I think Narduzzi is the right man as well. Great point about the last drive though, clock management in that situation is crucial. Also made me wonder why they squib kicked with so much time left.
I can't call a night game on the road against a P5 school a bad loss though. We may still struggle to win 7 games, but I'd call Syracuse and Virginia pretty easy games. They may improve, but right now those are two below average football teams IMO.

I Thought Chaney's call to pass, instead of running, on the second INT was a mistake. Wondered why we did not see more Ollison in those situations. Conner-like power near goal lines are a good thing. 20-20 but we would have netted 3 points for the effort instead of 0 points.

You take the points when you can get them. Taking time off the clock is fine but you can't guarantee the end result of a TD. You take the points when you can get them.
