I watched every single personnel package Pitt used last night and by my count they never once put a nickel on the field. When you’re facing a team that spreads you out like Penn State it’s unfair to Idowu, Zeise, and Brightwell to ask them to cover WRs or RBs like Sanders in space. Even in 3rd and long situations they still went with three backers and for the life of me I can’t understand that. I wanted to give it a few weeks to see if Bates did things differently, but it appears that it’s still Duzz’s show.
