One of the worst calls I've ever seen

Doesn't the NBA have a challenge rule? I wished college basketball had that because you can't decide a game like that. That isn't a foul 99 out of 100 times. That said, I don't understand why Austin didn't jump. Corhen is the same way. Rebounding requires you to jump.

You can't score 54 points against ND and expect to win. Really, it was the perfect ending to what I think was the worst Pitt season since 98-99 when we beat Kentucky, almost beat #1 UConn then fell off a cliff.

Yep bad call. But you realize this is a great example of why we are such a bad rebounding team? And how it can be taught? He made no attempt to find a man, step in front and box out.

Got him on the arm. It's soft but it's a foul. If he had boxed out it wouldn't have had to come down to that but you can't put yourself in a position for the ref to make that call.

This Pitt team just never makes plays when they need to either on offense or defense. They had the ball tied at 54 with a chance to win the game and Lowe turns it over. Corhen can’t get a rebound on the put back when it was 54-52 and the game is tied. You put the game in the hands of the refs that is what happens.

It wasn't a traditional foul. He put his hands up to rebound the ball. Davis jumped over his hands and made contact with Austin. Austin should have jumped but putting your arms up to rebound and then having another player elevate higher than you, making slight contact isn't a foul.

Yeah, that's not a foul. It just isn't. I agree with everyone that Pitt just played so poorly, they deserved to lose that game. They earned that loss over 40 minutes. But this wasn't Nasir Robinson. That's not a foul.

Actually, Zack did turn around and look to find a man. Corhen is the one who ended up underneath the backboard in a non-rebounding position.

When I saw the whistle, I just assumed an over the back call. I should have known better.

Wtf was Corhen doing?? He had that guy checked out although with his back to the ball… then somehow wound up under the hoop and left Austin high and dry
