Is that fifth loss. I think we will all be pleased if we win two out of our last three games which will include the bowl and finish 9-4. If we somehow win the coastal we would have to be 9-3 going into the Clemson game so we would have then two chances for a ten game winning season. We don't want to lose two of the last three and finish 8-5 with one of our best defenses in some time. We need that next level win total of nine or ten. That would put us in great position for 2020 season and the spring and summer recruiting for the 2021 class.

I think I agree but even 8-5 would exceed most preseason expectations. Neither of the two remaining conference games are "easy" but Pitt should split them, at worst. Sure would be nice to win a bowl game.

Yeah, that would mean winning 4 of last 5 which is about opposite what they've done the last 4 years.

It all goes hand in hand. Good coaches bring in good talent. Great recruiters bring in top level talent. Also need coaches who can teach. We are starting to have the coaches we need to do this.

Only loss acceptable would be to Clemson in Championship

That's an unrealistic expectation for this team. They are dogs on the road at VT and we don't even know who they are playing in a bowl game yet.

I'd think most realistic fans would sign up for 2-1 over the last three games (forgetting about Clemson). That would give them 9 wins.
