You have to be optimistic about Pitt after this. Sure, Clemson isnt Clemson back when Peterman beat them, but this was a good game. I thought our "little" DL would be manhandled by Clemsons 5 star O-linemen. That did not happen. We stopped their run, got what 5-6 sacks, hit their QB all game long. We should have won against Clemson with really our bench team. That is remarkable. Cade Bell looks to be the right guy moving forward, his system even works with sub tier players. Defense... wow... the way our DC and Narduzzi makes adjustments at halftime are always.

Gut wrenching loss. Thought it was a win. I guess I feel slightly better knowing OT might have been a loss too since we were banged up. But, certainly looks good going into next year with this offense if we can keep the team in tact.

Must be a Burgh thing. Tomlin, Hurdle, Narduzzi, Capel, Shelton, whoever... every coach, every OC, every DC, every hitting and pitching coach, all coaches should all be fired every year. It is crazy really. How can you look at this team at 7-3, after nearly winning the past 2 weeks with a pieced together team not be impressive after last year? Is Narduzzi a genius? No, of course not, are the posters saying the 'situational awareness' was bad yesterday geniuses? Of course not also. It is weird. But, guess it is what it is, we have a shit fan base

You have to take advantage of the opportunities when they are there. We have been saying “next year” looks promising for over 20 years. No one here has an idea what next year will look like. Pitt had a pretty good opportunity in front of them even after losing to SMU. Unfortunately, once again they couldn’t do it. It’s not being negative or down on the program. It just seems like everything has to go right for them to win big including officiating. And coaching has to be flawless because Pitt doesn’t have 5 star players to overcome simple mistakes.

Bell will have gained valuable experience at this level and he’ll now have a full year to implement his offense

Eli will also have valuable experience. I know some think he’s a better Te or a d2 talent but I’m still bullish on his future

We’ll have most of the OL back (I like the brown kid ). And hopefully they can add a guy or two in the portal

The D is young and is going to get better

Need to add a wr in the portal.

The same Louisville team that lost to Stanford yesterday.

Good post but you failed to mention that they had three lineman out too along the offensive line and two linebackers but it was nonetheless a gritty effort by the Panthers,.

I've heard here that football results are not transitive.

Let's see. N Illinois beat Notre Dame. NC State beat N Illinois. Syracuse beat NC State. We pounded Syracuse.

Yeah, Jackson Brown played adequate for it being his first game. The line as a whole was awful, but we get a couple good transfers, could be ok for sure. This is the best linebacking core I can remember at Pitt
