Does a 3-star that starts at Oregon mean something different than a 3-star that starts at Pitt?f he has a decent year, a guy with this pedigree will go back and the portal to chase a bag from a Bama or something.
Basic Algebra. The three stars cancel out leaving the equation :Does a 3-star that starts at Oregon mean something different than a 3-star that starts at Pitt?
He's a 3-star. That's not much of a pedigree. And given that they didn't keep him in house, he clearly didn't over-perform his ranking.Better use him a lot. If he has a decent year, a guy with this pedigree will go back and the portal to chase a bag from a Bama or something. I see a 1 and done so let’s use him. Love the get
Yeah it matters less on defense since scheme differences there are smoother compared to the offense, but it's very possible that we just use guys in more effective ways than Program X and therefore this ends up being a net gain for us.Getting backups from big-time programs for a chance to play is probably the best chance Pitt has at finding some good players. Obviously it won't happen with everyone, but if Moore can contribute at least as a situational pass rusher it'll help. The pass rush wasn't good enough last season and Narduzzi definitely needed help in this area.
Thank you for explaining. These ambiguous ratings on HS kids are really hard to figure out.Basic Algebra. The three stars cancel out leaving the equation :
Since Oregon > Pitt, therefore; Starts at Oregon > Starts at Pitt
Scheme could be part of it -- is he a LB or a DE? Did Oregon having him playing one particular position but would be better fit in our defense?Yeah it matters less on defense since scheme differences there are smoother compared to the offense, but it's very possible that we just use guys in more effective ways than Program X and therefore this ends up being a net gain for us.
Not saying that Oregon is a bad coaching staff. I do trust Narduzzi to maximize players on defense relative to a generic staff though.
He’s playing DE for us.Scheme could be part of it -- is he a LB or a DE? Did Oregon having him playing one particular position but would be better fit in our defense?
Per the podcast above Moore was used as a speed pass rusher this year. Will be a DE here. Based on his listed size you would think he could play every down at Pitt.Scheme could be part of it -- is he a LB or a DE? Did Oregon having him playing one particular position but would be better fit in our defense?
