Hello from Tulsa,

We look forward to hosting the Panthers later next month. It sounds like your team will be a very good this year. It should be a slugfest between two evenly matched teams.

I'm a graduate of OSU, and my wife was a graduate of Pitt in 1978. She is from Greensburg. If any of you plan to come to the game, I would be pleased to share any information you may need about places to eat, hotels, things to do, etc. Just let me know.

Best of luck to the Panthers. We hope you win every game but one.

Can't make the game but I did stand next to T Boon Pickens at the Masters two years ago. I like your uni's.

It's going to be a very entertaining game. I don't think the sports media has really given much thought about it what with all of the big games the first two weekends.

Thank you for your help on the OSU board. Do you have any suggestions for food? ;)

You won't go hungry in Stillwater, but you won't find any places as good as the food you get in Pittsburgh. My wife loves Permanti's, as do I.

Most visitors go to Eskimo Joes for the atmosphere and the clothes. The cheese fries are good, but the food is average. The Ranchers Club is the best restaurant in town, and is expensive. I also like Brooklyn's in downtown Stillwater. The chicken and waffles are very good, as well as the shrimp and grits. Otherwise your best bet is to hangout at the tailgates before the game. Visitors are treated well and the food is is good. There's a Johnny Rockets in the Student Union, which is the largest union in the country.

Most visitors like the campus, and find out fans to be friendly and helpful.

Have a safe trip.

Eskimo Joes doesn't sound bad, but the trip just became worth it if there's a Johnny Rockets! Haven't been to one since I went to Orlando. Great place for a burger and shake :)

But on a serious note, is Eskimo Joes on campus? It'd be cool if it's there so we could do a little walking around the campus afterwards.

And that's good to know about the tailgating. Iowa blew me away with their's and from it sounds like OSU is either on par or better than theirs so I'm really excited. My favorite part about the travels are the gameday experiences. That is, after seeing the Panthers get a nice win on the road ;)

Yeah seriously. Any other week this might be the biggest game of the week, but how are you supposed to compete with Ohio State-Oklahoma? I'll accept it though, this might be the best season for out-of-conference games we'll ever see.

Yes, Eskimo Joes is adjacent to the campus about 250 yards from the stadium. Just follow the crowd. They sell more clothing than any other restaurant in the world except Hard Rock Cafe.

Lots of tailgaters to choose from. Mostly BBQ and other assorted meats and veggies.

You can easily walk most of the campus in less than 45 minutes. The Union, Edmund Low Library, Colvin Center, Theta Pond, are all
Within a short distance to the stadium.

If you are up to it, play golf at Karsten Creek. Most experts consider it to be the finest "collegiate course" in the country. Our golf team has won 10 NCAA Team Championships, and has produced a host of PGA tour players including Rickie Fowler. It's an expensive place to play but worth if you have the time and money.

I've heard of it before and it is very nice. Won't have time for it, though. We're leaving Kansas City Friday night to drive down and then leaving Saturday evening after the game and a meal. If we ever get a chance to go back we'd definitely want to explore more of the area. It's a business trip this time ;)

I enjoy the BBQ every time I go to KC.
