I don't know if anyone else notices this but before 5G came out, 4G seemed to be blazing fast and 3G was tough to deal with. When I heard networks were upgrading to 5G, I thought that's great because top-end speeds will get even faster and then if you are slumming it in an old 3G area, which is now a 4G area, you'll be getting great 4G speeds.

Example of what I thought:

2018 (before 5G came out): 4G service in a popular suburb = 2025 4G service in more rural areas (old 3G areas).

This isnt the case at all as 4G is like the old 3G. Anyone know why this is?

Too many people got the covid vaccine and that really bogged down cell services for 5G and forces too many cell phones to revert back to 4G

Even though you are joking, I dont think the issue is cell phones reverting to 4G. It's whenever you do have a 4G signal, it's the signal of the old 3G.

Using a very crude example, if 2018 4G was a speed of a 9, and 2018 3G was a speed of a 5, these new generations of towers are like 5G being a 10 and 4G being a 6. So slight upgrades but really the new 4G is just the old 3G renamed and improved ever so slightly.

How many Gs are necessary to have two chicks at the same time? That would be 1,000 Gs. 3, 4, or even 5Gs ain't getting it done.

Does that answer your question?
