Since I've been banned from BWI since Sackenberg went down for the "10 count", I wonder how many Nitters are saying he wasn't "Penn State material", whatever the hell that is.
They are hammering him pretty good. "Soft," "better players," typical Nitter stuffSince I've been banned from BWI since Sackenberg went down for the "10 count", I wonder how many Nitters are saying he wasn't "Penn State material", whatever the hell that is.
PSU has a winning record and recruiting abilities we’d be happy to see at Pitt.
They've always had that. Franklin just happens to be better at it than even old Joe.
This is the same as Pitt losing kids to Miami or VT. You can't consistently lose recruiting battles in your own division.
I recall us losing some de end recruits to va tech in '16 or '17. I am sure they got a few last class that we offered too. don't recall too many players that had it down to just us and them..Honestly, who was the last meaningful recruit we lost to Miami or VT? If you said ND, PSU or Michigan, I’m w/ you. It’s one kid and they still have a 2020 class that’s ranked 13th compared to our 70th... Let’s say after this awesome weekend we move up, then we’re 35th, they’re still in the top 15.
It’s totally inconsequential to us as it won’t matter in September and signing day is still distant. Hope that they sign an OL that someone else has verbally rather then Carmody or one that we really want. Franklin has a last signing period appetite for Pitt targets.
One can NEVER make too much of the Nits losing a commit to anybody. It is always a joyous occasion.I get it, the enemy of my enemies are my friends... That said, we’re making WAY too much out of some recruits choosing OSU over PSU. OSU is arguably one of the 3 most dominant programs in the country for the last decade. PSU has a winning record and recruiting abilities we’d be happy to see at Pitt.
When we’re consistently signing recruiting classes in a span of 5 recruiting class placement ranks of PSU and they’re not beating us for 90% of the kids we offer head to head these developments will be worth celebrating. Until that day it’s meaningless bluster and shows how small we are.
