along with Von Miller from the Bronco's. Two things: One, I think from a training perspective this is very savvy as the cross training he will get from the show should be extremely beneficial. Second, given his work ethic, good looks and general likable personality and the Steeler Nation, I suspect he is a strong early favorite to win it all. Good Luck to AB!

Any "cross-training" he's going to get from dancing is going to pale to whatever speed/strength training he's already doing. This is just marketing ... and on a personal level, to get him laid.

Have you ever read anything that Heinz Ward said during and after his stint on this show? He said it was the most fit he had ever been. You're crazy if you don't think this is training.

Joe Yinzer from Beltzhoover "Whats that damn twinkle toes thinking? He should be training for his upcoming season n'at"

Haha... ok, well thanks for calling me crazy. Do you still believe reality tv is real too? ;) Oh, and Hines Ward has NEVER lied. He cheated on his first wife with a Point Park College dancer in 2011, so that might have something to do with the words coming out of his mouth. You can believe what you want ... but I'm gonna stick with my opinion.

Wow - okay. The difference is this is not what I "believe" - I studied classical ballet for many years. Anyone who thinks dancing is "easy" should try it - just one class. It will kick your ass. There is a reason why many athletes take pilates now (developed for ballet dancers in the 1920's). Your opinion is just that and somewhat uninformed.

Nah, I'm aware of pilates, have spent some time on the reformer. And I'm not dismissing the health benefits of dance, just to the degree athletes who go on Dancing With the Stars say how much it's "kicking their ass". Think of it this way ... how many pro athletes have made the successful cross over to Dancing With the Stars? Now how many professional dancers have made the cross over to professional sports? You can have the last word on this one. :^)

I'm really not sure your point. There are not opportunities for dancers crossing over vs. athletes crossing over to the show. Have you actually ever watched it? And if you have spent time on the reformer you know the unique physical demands that dancing present. That is why so many of them deal with injuries. Take a moment and google some of the athletes who appeared on that show for any length of time. They all talk about how hard it was and how much better fit they were after the fact. It is a perfect example of cross training.

Answer me this: You really think Brown would give up 10 weeks of his off season if he thought his training/body would be negatively impacted, just for publicity or to get laid? Not sure when the show premieres (a couple of weeks?) but he is already on the West Coast practicing for this show. It doesn't end till mid-May. NO WAY he takes that risk.

Yes, I've watched the show (and worked for a company where one of its major clients was ABC actually), so I'm pretty well-versed. Okay, I'll answer your question with another question ... Why do you think Antonio Brown has given up 10 weeks of his off season? You think he's stopped training so he can focus on his dance moves? NO, he's doing both-- so there is NO "risk". And yes, this IS just for publicity (ABC is parent company of ESPN, so there's cross-marketing involved.) You go on Dancing With the Stars to see what kind of likeability you have with the public, then you can transfer those #s into a studio or sideline reporter gig after your playing career ends.... I'm going to win you over pitt-girl. :D

How about we meet in the middle? He WILL get trained from this show. I still say he wouldn't risk an injury just for publicity.
