Just around the corner from Paradise
Ballast Point Brewing - home of two of my favorite IPA's - was sold for, are you ready, $1billion to Constellation Brands. Constellation already owns Corona, Pacifico and Modelo/Negro Modelo beer brands. Ballast sales will eclipse $115 million this year. Overall craft beer sales (US) will reach almost $20 billion.

Amazing when you think it wasn't too many years ago that craft beer hardly existed. Just hoping Constellation doesn't change the recipe for Sculpin and Grapefruit Sculpin!

Not true at all NTOP. Ballast Point beer is widely available in Pittsburgh.

And Moe - a billion is a lot to recover. Hopefully they have enough sense to not mess with the recipes. Some of the other big boys who have bought out the craft brewers said they wouldn't mess with the beer but we shall see.

It's Russian River that isn't available west of the Susquehanna. Pliny the Elder. I'll look for the Sculpin. Any saloons you'd recommend that have Sculpin?? I'll be in OR in March, I think.

I don't know that it's comprehensive as I'd imagine it's voluntary participation from the establishments that subscribe but there's an app and a web site called BeerMenus. It's not the be all end all but it can be helpful if you're looking for a particular beer.

Thanx.
