OT: Basketball on 22 The Point

I missed this memo. WPTT is getting into the over-the-air basketball biz. They televise many RMU games and now a weekly WPIAL game. Hopefully they televise the WPIAL finals. Those haven't been televised in about, geez 10-15 years now which is an absolute crime considering all the crap that's on TV.

Luckily most people have access to ACCN now or else I would have said Pittsburghers without cable could watch RMU but even Pittsburghers with cable couldn't watch Pitt.

There’s a thread above regarding waning interest in college BB. HS around here ‘bout the same. I did tune into some of the weekly HS FB telecasts but would find it difficult to watch 16 year olds chucking up 3’s.

Me too but I'd watch the WPIAL Finals. Surprised regular season WPIAL basketball is on an OTA channel.

Man I'm so old I remember when Duquesne hoops was on channel 11. Red Manning was the coach and the Dukes were often NCAA caliber. Duquesne can't even get televised now, which is probably just as well. Still the Atlantic 10 is l mid-major so you think that would have some clout. Think Dambrot is a good coach, but losing players continually like Williams makes it alot more difficult.
