where is the best place to eat breakfast in Pittsburgh or around campus? Coming in for the women's city game and staying for the Cuse game. Looking for a great place to eat on Friday morning.

Thanks in advance.

If Pamela's jammed , as usually the case, and you don't feel like waiting, you can try the Red oak Cafe across the street-always though the breakfasts there were good.

I like Pamela's in the strip best, if you are up for an excursion and seeing a little local color down there.

DeLuca's in the Strip. There's a little bit of a wait. After breakfast you can walk off your meal at the shops on Penn. Lots of opportunities to get Pittsburgh sports gear

Hands down Pamela's on Forbes. Download the "No Wait" app and put your name on the list ahead of time. Having said that, the students are on break so it shouldn't be bad. And yes, they only take cash. Get a pancake. YUMMY.

If you are partial to microwave food Dunkin Donuts and the 7-11 are convenient and quick! Seriously, for breakfast on/adjacent to campus Pamela's is a preferred choice but usually crowded even when students aren't on campus.

The 7 C's in Bloomfield... Truly Classic gem on Liberty that many dos not know it is there.
Chains, not being particular here, but I googled 7 C's and it came up SEVEN CEES! The place looks like a dump! Really, is the food that good and is it safe?

Nope - the app is called "NO WAIT". It is a pretty cool app developed right here in Pittsburgh which is now going national. Download the app and the rest is pretty self-explanatory. It lists restaurants starting with the nearest to your current location and lets you know if there is a wait and how long. You can then enter your name before you get there so that hopefully you will be seated promptly.

I should add that in the case of Pamela's, make sure you are picking the correct location.

I went to Pamela's in Oakland last week and the wait was less than 5 minutes with the students gone, so give it a shot. As noted above, make sure you have cash. I'm not sure if the holiday on Friday will increase or decrease the crowd.

Take note that and a few popular non-breakfast places around campus are closed this week, including Hemingways, Dave and Andy's.
