With Nine Inch Nails touring again- excited to pick up some tickets .

What other bands have you wanted to see live you haven’t yet ?

I’m still salty about Jane’s Addiction bailing the week before they came to pittsburgh with smashing pumpkins .

I have seen NIN about 30 times. They are elite live performers. Obviously trent is the focus of the energy but Ilan on drums is so good. Their energy is unmatched and I tell others it is truly a religious experience to see them live. Looking forward to seeing them at least twice on this tour.

To answer your question i have never seen deftones live but am checking them off the bucket list in April.

Never seen system of a down either and hoping for a longer tour from them in the future

Rat-
If I recall aren’t you in the Atlanta areas ,or were ?
That makes sense then -
Pittsburgh and Raleigh weren’t frequent stops -
Or there was some pressing conflict on those rare occasions

I've seen all the bands I wanted to see live so there is no bucket list for me. May you all get your ticket fully punched.

John Mellencamp is on my list. Somehow never saw him.
Eminem
Jane's Addiction - saw Porno for Pyros but never Jane's.
The Alarm - One of my top 10 favorite bands ever. Up there with The Cult, Oingo Boingo and Oasis. Doubt I'll see them as I don't see Mike Peter's ever being healthy enough to come to the US again.

That is about it. I've seen a lot of shows including some of my favorites that rarely came to Pittsburgh like Oingo Boingo and Pavement. Saw NIN back in the late 90's when they toured with Bowie. A good 3rd of the crowd left after NIN because Bowie was in one of his "I'm not doing any hits" phases. Was in the mosh pitt area and they set up a giant fence behind us. At least 12' high. People were climbing over it. At one point I was certain I was going to die because of the mass of humanity climbing on it and pushing on it. Fortunately for me, it held. :)

Sounds similar to a guns and roses show i saw around 2000 in Philly when axl got his feelings hurt by Howard stern and refused to show after everyone was inside and listened to opening acts. Closest to a riot I ever saw

Lucky in some of these, I was in the sweet spot for the early Lollapalooza tours so got to see alot of bands.
Seen Janes back then. Seen the Alarm at the U of Buffalo in the late 80's.

I never seen Tool. Would love to see them. I mean I can go back to groups no longer with us like Zeppelin, the Who and Pink Floyd, but current bands still mostly or completely intact??

Tool. Is Rage back together? Seen the Pumpkins and Pearl Jam. Wouldn't mind seeing bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Cloud Nothings, Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett......

Rage isn't doing anything current. Saw them a couple years back with run the Jewels. Great shows. Tom morello doing solo stuff with his kid.

Iron Maiden, Sepultura (with Max/Igor), The Police.
I still kick myself for missing Pantera back in the day- stupid nerd I was Missed it because I had 2 midterms the next day
Same with Soulfly- But I guess their drummer quit during the tour so their new one only knew like 4 sounds so they just kept t replaying those

the Misfits reunion with Danzig almost wants me to go across country to see

I've seen both Tool and Primus. Wasn't a fan of Tool. They kind of pissed me off. I had front row seats for Lollapalooza that year. For some reason they set up 3 rows of folding chairs as the first 3 rows instead of just using the permanent seats. Probably trying to avoid a mosh pitt from forming in the open area in front of the stage. It was early in the day and the crowd hadn't all filled in yet and Maynard announced that "I talked to security and they said that of you on the hill are allowed to fill in all these empty seats down here". The next thing I know a rush of humanity came down, pushing and shoving. The chairs started flying (they were held together with zip ties, but those were no match for the crazed Tool fans). I did my best to protect my wife (gf at the time) but she got knocked over and her ear ring ripped out. Tore her ear lope - fortunately not completely through. I didn't mind mosh pits - participated in some back in those days. But I was pissed that I now didn't have a seat to sit in between acts the rest of the day. I still hold a grudge against Tool. :)

I did enjoy Primus. I was kind of a fan, but not a huge fan. I was skeptical of them being able to put on a great show for 90+ minutes. I was wrong. They were really good.

I had really great seats (standing) for this show. It was 1987 I think. I was 5 rows off of the stage.
Lineup included the Alarm, George Clinton and PFunk All Stars, Level 42, it was one of those shows back then that toured college campuses.

The Alarm played the CMU Carnival around that time. But I foolishly thought that they'd be a regular touring act and I'd have plenty of chances to see them so I didn't go. Big mistake.

I've seen Tool 3x. I think Maynard has become less pretentious over time.

The shows have generally been great.

Imo - I've never seen a more diverse crowd at these shows. I sat beside a woman at the last Pittsburgh concert and she could easily pass for a middle age fortune 500 exec. She knew the lyrics and I'm pretty certain she was by herself.

It's the only show where I've seen people moshing while others are trying dissect the music in a studious manner.

Love tool, but this is bull and would have ruined my day also.

Saw them at Ozzfest 98. Had mosh Pitt tickets. Most folks didn't get too crazy.

Should have gone to see them at the Pete but didn't.

I catch a lot of shows at the Palace and the Lamp. Saw Buddy Guy twice before he retired last year.

I can't think of any original bands I really want to see. Most of them are probably dead. Marshall Tucker Band? Probably mostly dead.

Going go see Don Iris this year. Not really my thing but my friends said he puts on a good show, and I think this may be a last hurrah for him.

I do want to keep seeing the cover bands I've seen, and many I haven't seen. Love to see Soulshine (allman brothers cover band) every time they're at the Lamp. Will go see get the Led out next time they come (zeppelin cover band.)

I saw method man and redman at club laga back around 2000. Never seen Ghostface Killah live. He'd be my top pick of acts I've never seen that I want to see. Also Rush, love them, never seen.

I grew up listening to Wu Tang, Nas, Redman, 2pac, biggie, Outkast, NWA, dre and snoop, cypress hill and many others. I did not get into what I consider white people music (anything with a guitar) until my 30s. Although I loved WDVE in the 90s at the gym I went to, and that led to my love of many of those bands that developed in my 30s.
