OT, but maybe not really. Does RMU's Andy Toole get a serious look?

Maybe not at Pitt, but anywhere? He's 120-84 in the regular season at RMU, and has been to the NCAAT once (1-1), the NIT twice (2-2), beating defending NCAA champ Kentucky, and the CIT once (2-1) in his five seasons in charge at RMU. Also, he was Mike Rice's assistant when the Colonials went to the NCAAT twice, and the NIT once. He's young, yes, but he's got some nice experience. Yes, its the NEC, but hey, it's the NEC, and he was able to get players to come there. And he won. I'd love to see him get some serious consideration somewhere. I think Pitt and the ACC may not be realistic, but a mid major may be in the cards for him.

NEC to ACC is a huge jump. He's had some serious roster turnover in the past few years. I have also heard he is Rice Jr. as far as his language/behavior in practice.

I think he missed the boat by staying there as long as he has. His roster issues are a real question mark, in my opinion. Whether there are various explanations for all those losses or not, he doesn't seem like a coach that guys want to stick around for.

Toole should have jumped last year. You can't stay at a low major school if your goal is to coach at the highest level. Their leagues get one bid a year, and one team isn't going to own that bid forever. Think of Fang Mitchell at Coppin St., and Howie Dickenman at Central Connecticut. These guys didn't jump when the jumping was good, and got stuck when their programs faded.
