Down to 12 recruits after a slew of flips. We'd be in meltdown here if that happened but judging by their board, they either don't care or are in denial.
Maryland having the same problems. Big Ten Former DC's OSU's Ash and Michigan's Durkin, looks like they want to tear down what is there and rebuild it their way!Down to 12 recruits after a slew of flips. We've been there before, lived it.. It's too painful to even laugh at when happening to others..Down to 12 recruits after a slew of flips. We'd be in meltdown here if that happened but judging by their board, they either don't care or are in denial.

Having been there, I won't celebrate their troubles. We've been there before, lived it.. It's too painful to even laugh at when happening to others..
They need a Coach that knows New Jersey and can keep just 50% of them to Rutgers and will have pretty good Teams. Schiano did it!Having been there, I won't celebrate their troubles.
We've contributed a bit to their current problems, but that was a "We owe you one!" considering what Rutgers did to Pitt after Wanny was dismissed.
What is amazing is both Maryland and Rutgers after losing many Commits, still are ahead of Purdue & Indiana?I wonder if the BIG10 is going to go to the return counter with the Rutgers purchase.
Reason for the return:
+ product was not as advertised
+ product malfunctioned
I hope the BIG kept their receipt???
I always lose mine.
I used to respect the University and Program and welcomed their rise in the Big East. I even wanted them in the ACC and upset they were not invited? It is definitely denial. When we played them regularly, I would occasionally venture over to their message board to take their temperature on a variety of issues of the day and what I mostly learned was that as a rule, those muthafu#$ers are batshitt crazy! Like disturbingly so. They had no clue how they were perceived by the outside world. It was at times hilarious and at times frightening. However, it was almost always completely fascinating.
Honestly, the Rutgers fans rival the Penn State fans in terms of sheer batshittery and I didn't even think that was possible.

I have to be honest, they can't suffer enough to suit me. They act like PSU FANS without any accomplishments. They are delusional.

Coach Narduzzi started late at Pitt and just stated he is glad for the recruits that chose and want to be at Pitt! Ash and Durkin looks like they have a Plan!
Good luck to them as they rebuild!
Right, Good observations. Disagree a tad! The Big Ten has done so well in making money that even the weaker and once Bottom Feeders can compete now by funding all 85 Scholarships, improve facilities, and pay for better coaching! There are 28 Programs now making more $100 Million every year, and 18 of them on in the SEC and Big Ten when just 3 On Total Programs were doing it in 2008 in all of CFB! Still, gaps are still developing now in Conferences and between Conferences and that difference comes from Finding and Keeping Good Coaches with a College President Visions and having a Great A.D. that can implement it for the University?I'm pretty sure that we all know how this story is going to end. I don't believe that good things are in the future for those programs. If Illinois and Indiana have never been able to figure out how to compete on a regular basis in the B1G, Maryland and Rutgers sure ain't.
They listed in the Papers the Congresspersons that introduced a Bill on the NCAA. Maybe some people instead calling the NCAA on Violations should call Reporters on what happen to the Clery Act Illegal Non-Reporting and Title IX Investigations? As well as some Inspector Generals at the Education Department?Captain, will the Clery report EVER get released for ups?
Are politicians fighting to keep it under raps?
Doesn't every school have to release it by a certain date?

The B10 lost their receipt and can't return the defective Rutgers product. But they have no one to blame but themselves for simply making a very poor purchase. There wasn't a single good reason for adding them to their conference. And please, there aren't enough TV sets in NJ tuned to Rutgers or B10 sports that amounts to anything. There was a time when expansion started, when they had their pick of schools. They took Nebraska. Then Missouri was theirs for the taking (with plenty of TV sets in STL and KC) if that matters. But no, they chose Rutgers. Wow.I wonder if the BIG10 is going to go to the return counter with the Rutgers purchase.

Their greatest achievement was Doug Graber yelling at Paterno for running up the score. JoePa probably called NYC for a hit man.But you see, they invented the game . . . and can't understand why the rest of us don't just bow down to them in gratitude.
Yes, Captain, the B10s southeastern strategy blew up, as their attempt to destroy the ACC failed miserably. They held their noses when taking MD and (especially) Rutgers as a necessary step one, but the end game was not only blocked by the ACC sticking together, but they then saw their own territory encroached upon when the ACC added ND and then Louisville. I'll bet Delany was glum when he heard the news."raleighpanther, post: 787872, member: 4260"]The B10 lost their receipt and can't return the defective Rutgers product. Their was some trade talk that Penn State was upset about the Sanctions and Big Ten Bowl Money Share Losses still not restored by the way. So, they expanded East to help out Penn State. There was plans to go south towards Virginia and North Carolina, Notre Dame joining and Grants Of Rights ended that expansion. When Delany heard it, they said he was noticeably glum at the NCAA Meetings!
And please, there aren't enough TV sets in NJ tuned to Rutgers or B10 sports that amounts to anything.
It was a way to buy into the myth New York City is Rutgers Country, but new York City is not even a great College Town for any college. They love Pro Sports!

If Rutgers can find another Schiano that knew how to unite New Jersey High School coaches towards them, they can become competitive in the Big Ten.
Once Big Ten East became a reality and Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State became a new reality in playing Penn State every year, that is what Penn State Fans in nightmares and Franklin can't fix it. Maryland beat Franklin by 1 point in 2014 and lost by 1 point in 2015, so they will be more competitive too, once they find a New President and if Durkin can turn it around?
Thanks, also recent ACC Players successes in Post-Season Awards, First Round Draft Picks and even today CBS put out an all Bowl Team that ACC edges out even SEC Players, has caused even more consternation for Delany!Yes, Captain, the B10s southeastern strategy blew up, as their attempt to destroy the ACC failed miserably. There is only one solution for Rutgers: RutgersAl for AD
Haha ……...and Greystork for Chancellor
Do you really think Rutgers will only have 12 recruits? I think we have 3-5 3 stars recruits that replace other 3 star recruits as well as some 2 stars. We expect to get our spread QB, Tylin Oden, who de committed from Louisville which is our main concern. This class will be better than the last 2 years even with the short time Ash had to recruit. Flood did a terrible job recruiting the last 3 years and anyone would be an improvement. Due to Flood our defense was about 100th the last 2 years when we were top 15 when Schiano was coaching. Ash will improve the defense with his eyes closed. Everyone knows Ash will take 2-3 years to turn it around. Even with Flood, we had a 9-4, 6-7, 8-5, 4-8 seasons, the last one caused his firing.Down to 12 recruits after a slew of flips. We'd be in meltdown here if that happened but judging by their board, they either don't care or are in denial.
Sure, let's stop funding research to prevent and cure diseases. We can send the money to Bob Jones University and they will pray for our health instead.I hope the Big 10 gets their ass handed to them. Trump gets elected and along with a republican congress takes money away from obnoxious ultra liberal schools like Michigan. Hurt them on the research side by scaling back NIH grants, etc. One can only wish.
