My wife and daughter are going to the Taylor Swift concert next month. But, my wife doesn't drive in downtown, so I get the task of dropping them off and picking them back up.

So, does anyone know from past experience(s) where the least painful spot would be to retrieve them?
We're leaning towards the Clemente Bridge/PNC Park, simply because my wife actually knows how to get to it, though something tells me that area will be a mess.

Thanks

I would remove the variable of downtown traffic from the equation.

Do the Station Square route. Your wife and daughter could take the clipper over to Heinz and enjoy a fun boat ride with other Taylor Swift fans .

There should be plenty of parking on the west side of Station Square.......an easier getaway than downtown.

I think you should be good with the Clemenete bridge. If you want to be safe you may want to drop them off and the Highmark Building or somewhere close Then when you pick them up, you can just loop arond the block and head back out. . My wife and I go to a lot of country concerts down there, and its funny how all the cars stay on the on the parkway to get to the concerts. They jam up the parkway as we head right now through town and across the Clemente Bridge.

EDIT: We come from the South Hills.

Tell your wife that she is a grown adult and should be able to drive downtown.

I'm not sure if Swift is much of a tailgating crowd, but the concert tailgates can ease the arriving traffic flow, so drop-offs right at Heinz aren't always horrible if you arrive more than an hour before the show starts. Pickups are the bigger headache. There are two drive-thru drop-off/pick-up areas at Heinz for parents gathering kids and handicap access. One is at the corner of Art Rooney Avenue and Reedsdale ST (by Gate B) and the other is off of North Shore Drive (across from Carnegie Science Center). Security will generally not let you sit and idle in these area for more than a couple minutes.

The later traffic should be fine as almost all of the attendees cant see the whole show because it will be past their bed time. Your wife and daughter can move down to better seats after 8:30

This is very good advice, IMO. This is what I would do, too.
