Wow. It's been a while since I watched the original Deadpool beginning to end, so it's hard to say this, but I think this version was actually better than the first. Maybe it's the familiarity with the characters that allows the storyline to progress more deeply than the last?

Either way this is 100% totally inappropriate but absolutely hysterical. Beginning to end. There is an end credit scene that may be the best I have ever seen. NOT recommended for kids obviously or even for some adults TBH.

I will simply say .... I just watched it and it is exhausting!

LOL - exhausting is a good way to describe it. I replied in another thread that these movies straddle being extremely uncomfortable at the same as laugh out loud funny. It's a fine line and certainly not for everyone. I actually covered my eyes a couple of times.

I’m waiting for my son to see the movie with me next Sunday . I must have watched DP1 a hundred times and I’m dying to see DP2 . I can’t even begin to think 2 is better 1 . Hope I can hold out !

Haven’t seen it yet but I saw a rating of 1.5 which is why I would rather see people like you rate the movie because your prior reviews have been pretty spot on versus some movie viewer who maybe has an attitude, feels the need to be politically correct or some other agenda, versus just looking at the movie for entertainment value, etc.

Can't wait to take the kids. It is a superhero movie, right? They will love it.
Pretty sure this is sarcasm. Just to clarify, Deadpool is within the Marvel Universe, but is most certainly not a super hero. He possesses super powers, but does some bad things.

FWIW - Rotten Tomatoes has a 84% critic score but more importantly, 86% audience score. For the most part, although I will look at critics, I put more weight on the audience score. Anytime they are both high it's a sign of a good flick.

Terrible movie!
Increases the chance of violence in society.

Gives many already deranged children who have limited parental guidance or supervision and live in the fantasy world of the internet / social media the idea that violence is ok.
Why not Hollywood just make a film all about killing others so it must be good.

Hollywood the so called anti gun crowd making millions on guns, knives, and violence?? What a bunch of hypocrites!!!!!

I'd love to see how successful their movies would be without guns, knives, killing and other violence.

Most of their films would flop!

I have to admit, the man has a point. This self righteous, sanctimonious group always telling us all how we should act and vote, yet nothing applies to them I guess. They are exempt from their own criticisms, which with the Weinstein #metoo stuff, we should already know this.

Watching a movie is not going to make kids into criminals and killers . I grew up playing cowboys and Indians and war games with plastic guns . I killed a lot of people in my backyard and I died a few times too . The last time I checked none of us who played these games with me grew up to shoot , stab or murder anyone .
If these films bother you don’t go . If you missed the Deadpool movies you’ve missed out on an enjoyable few hrs .

When “Get Out” had a positive score of 100%, I figured I was in for a treat. And then it turned out to be pretty bad. Not really bad, but pretty bad.

I will never believe an audience score again.

Which reminds me, Batman vs Superman had a pretty low score I believe. And I thought the movie was decent. Not great. But decent.

I thought Get Out was great

Reminded me as a similar in twist as Ex Machina
Which I also love.
Original stories are great

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I don’t know when the last time I really liked a movie. I’m becoming too critical I guess. Get Out started out with promise and then the further into the film, the worse it got.

Btw, off subject, I saw I, Tonya recently. From the reviews and the trailers I thought it would be a slam dunk. It wasn’t. My wife and I tried real hard and were barely successful making it through the whole film without giving up on it. But it wasn’t easy. I will say that robbie’s and Janney’s performances were good though.

I’ll disagree again-

3 Billboards was horrible. Come on. It was so totally unrealistic and we were forced to believe every action taken was something that could possibly be real. Talk about a total suspension of disbelief.

Somehow I was supposed to believe that a mother who verbally abused her kid and last left her with the comment I hope you get raped, suddenly cares enough to toss up billboards blaming the police for not doing a good job after she actually got raped? Mom of the year for sure.

Oh yeah, I guess you are off the hook for firebombing the police station because Therion Lannister said you didn't do it.

A random guy walks into a police station off the street dressed in a frumpy suit starts to talk and suddenly the police start mouthing off and the random guy just happens to be the new police chief. No uniform. No presentation of credentials?

The billboard owner gets the crap beat out of him in the middle of town right outside the police station of a very small predominantly white town and nobody even reacts?

A fairly dicey looking husband drops an extremely rough looking wife for some hot young girl?

And having been involved in a house fire myself, the rogue cop sits in the station that he once worked in after breaking in and for whatever reason is listening to a tape player, at night and is completely oblivious to an inferno going on behind him? Jesus.

And the clueless cop who was kicked out of the department because of his actions suddenly is sitting in a bar listening to a guy talk about some horrible thing he does that is remarkably similar to the event that the police couldn't resolve for years. And oh yeah, this same individual for no reason at all shows up at the souvenir shop that the three billboards mom works in and implies some threat to her for calling out the police. Wow!! This must be the criminal for sure.

Sincerely it is the worst movie I ever saw that gained so many accolades for no real reason.

I get the need to link arcs in movies with some level of "please don't try so hard to believe this" but this movie was just insanely bad at their attempts.

So, tell us how you REALLY feel. ;)

I liked this movie, but didn't love it as much as many for the reasons you listed above. However, I had no issue with buying into Frances McDormand's character becoming obsessed with finding justice for her daughter regardless of their last encounter.

At least with "The Weight of Water", you knew it was a fable/fantasy tale. so suspension of belief was possible.

I thought it's been a decent year or two as well, which is a welcome change from the early to mid 2010's for me.

I, Tonya
The Shape of Water (always loved del Toro -- everyone should see Pan's Labyrinth.)
Get Out
Dunkirk
The Florida Project
Logan
Star Wars The Last Jedi
Black Panther
Annihilation (not for all tastes but one of my favorite movies in recent memory)

Haven't seen Isle of Dogs or Game Night yet, both of which I would probably at least somewhat enjoy.

Where’s Wonder Woman ? Gal Gadot !!!

I liked Wonder Woman also. The first half better than the second though and I thought Gadot and Pine were somewhat wasted on the plot. Gadot is obviously gorgeous and was great.

So.....the other night I wasn't feeling that good, and decided to just stay in my hotel, order a movie and some like soup.............scrolling through the movie selections (Ok, before the jokes happen, let's get this out of the way, there were no porn options).....I scrolled, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over......30 minutes. Half of them I never heard of. The other half I had little interest. I would click on the info button, then pass....30 minutes. I never selected any of the movies. I don't know why, I will admit somewhat maybe it is me, but I have no real interest in 90% of the movies now made.
