Will the virtual Pitt fans show up late and leave early? Virtual traffic can be a real pain.

Given the out-of-control spread of the virus with no plan in place, the virtual fans will probably be infected.

I look forward to the first time the AI fans do the wrong thing like boo when they should cheer because they don't understand the infield fly rule. Sorta weird cyberpunk stuff! Even dystopian since its during a pandemic.

What about the virtual Pitt Greats Race... Virtual Sweet Caroline? And the virtual interview between virtual sideline reporter and a virtual alumni FB player?

I honestly don't think the players care about fans. I can't ever remember noticing what was going on off of the field during a game I was playing in.

There was an interview the other day with a baseball player, I forget who it was, and he basically said that when guys would notice it would be between plays and between innings, times when the game wasn't going on, and when their team was batting and they were sitting in the dugout. He said that when he was batting he would have no idea if there were no fans there or if the stadium was packed, and the same when he was in the field and the pitcher was about to throw the ball. With the level of concentration required guys just simply don't notice the crowd when they are focused on the game.

Not a first. Studio wrestling had cardboard fans, Bill Cardile, Pie Trainor, and ringside Rosie....
Who can? American...American plumbing and Heating....Pie was their spokesperson.
Early 60’s I’m guessing....

Don't get me wrong, some of the skill guys who had time on their hands were checking out the ladies. Nothing more worthless than a backside WR on a sweep away from him. Everyone inside the box is busy making reads, calling signals, and trying not to screw up the snap count.
