I thought I heard about Swedish goalie Filip Gustavsson before. Originally drafted by the Penguins, he was traded to the Ottawa Senators (alongside defenseman Ian Cole, a 2018 first-round pick, and a 2019 third-round pick) in exchange for forward Derick Brassard. Funny how trades look from a long term viewpoint.

Personally, I love the idea of Four Nations taking the place of the All-Star break permanently. Let one city host all the games and (eventually) expand it to include Russia and the Czech Republic, making it an all-Big Six tournament.

The only downside is the risk of injury… Hasek at the 2006 Winter Olympics comes to mind.

Made me very happy - had a parlay of
McKinnon anytime goal , and a point for Crosby and mcdavid
Hit that within 4 minutes into the game lol
Then the same plus Canada winning - that took longer .

In the 40 minutes that Joe didn't watch the US scored 2 goals. In the 3 minutes that Joe did watch the US has scored 3 goals.

Maybe the US should pay me to watch the game on Saturday night.

Should have combined the Finland and Sweden into one team, and did a Russia/eastern Europe team for the pod of four. Or they could have done North America vs. World. So NHL to have marketed tournament that doesnt even have the to be leading goal scorer of all time. Should have done Olympics.

Finland and Sweden always come to play in these international tournaments and it would not please hockey fans at all to see those two nations combined. Sweden will be fine. They are deep and still a threat to make the Final. Finland is decimated by injury especially on defense, but these two countries are always greater than the sum of their parts in international competitions. Not having Russia sucks, especially considering they probably have the 3 best goalies in the NHL and superstar forwards like Ovi, Kucherov, Kaprizov, etc.
