returns Sunday. For those who care, thoughts? For those who don't, no need to reply.

I'm trying to catch up before Sunday. I am rewatching from start to finish. Just got through season 2. May need to pull a real marathon this weekend if I want to catch up before the new season begins.

First thoughts after rewatching...joeffrey is worse than I remembered...and Tyrion is my favorite character.

Peter dunklage is the best actor in the business. Love him. Looking forward to Sunday as well. I really hope the battle with the white walkers occurs early and is epic. Battle of the bastards was one of the best hrs of tv last year

Takes so long in between but won't take much to get back into it. Hope spreading the ending out into 2 seasons doesn't slow it down.

I thought the other bastard was more of a bastard than Jeoeffrey. Now I am not sure. They are both pretty bad!

Speaking of the white walkers, I just picked up on something that happened in season 2. Bran had a dream of massive waves flooding Winterfell. It's never been mentioned again. At least I don't remember. I'm thinking that it may come true this season. Just a guess. It's obvious to me what will happen but I don't want to spoil it in case it's not obvious to others.

Some spoilers ahead for those who do not want to know anything about the up coming season.

If what I am hearing is correct. This season should be tremendous.

One of Dany's dragons gets killed by the Night King and resurrects it from the dead to add to his army. In which he shoots blue flames.

Plus, nobody believes the northerners in regards to the army of the dead. So John Snow, Tormond, the Hound and the brothers without banners goes on a hunting trip to bring one back. To show the 7 kingdoms they exist. In which the Mountain then cuts it up into pieces yet it still doesn't die.

There are a lot of other things I've heard which is going to be amazing if true

Whats going to suck is apparently the final season may even have a longer time period until it airs. Rumor was floating that it wont air until 2019, so no GoT in 2018 potentially.

Not really anything new for HBO. There is no date for Westworld S2 (maybe 2018 or even 2019), Curb Your Enthusiasm returning Oct after what? 5-6 years, True Detective S3 with no date. It happens.

I read the last season of GOT will have all theatrical sized episodes.

Big fan and looking forward to this Sunday.
How can anyone not like Tyrion. Ned Stark's execution, Red Wedding, Joeffrey's death, the last two episodes - so many memorable shows.

Checkout "the Last Kingdom" on Netflix - been called GOT without the Dragons. Based on Alfred the Great.

I predict Dany ends up the villain. She will bring the Dothraki who will rape and pillage the people of Westeros.

She will realize what she has too late and will fall on her sword, literally.

I also see Littlrfinger dying quickly and Arya using his face to infiltrate Cersei's court.

Speaking of Cersei, Jamie kills her protecting Tyrion.

That vision was about the Iron Islanders taking Winterfell. He mentions that in the vision Ser Roderick is killed by it and after Winterfell is taken he is executed by Theon.

It's just like GOT without the Dragons, or magic, multiple main characters, multiple story arcs, unpredictable deaths of main characters, varied set locations, etc. It's about as similar to GOT as Kevin Costner's Robin Hood movie. They have medieval technology, a power struggle, and accents.

I've seen comparisons to GOT thrown around way too often, but they always include caveats.."It's like GOT but without..." I've seen professional reviews that follow that exact phrasing about Last Kingdom, Vikings, Marco Polo, and House of Cards.
