Thought I'd put this here since we play them next year. I'm interested to see how this unfolds, because it sounds like it could seriously happen. Wonder who they'd replace him with.

According to Steele, college coaches don't follow the money. It's about building a program and...I don't know, other stuff...quality of life crap.
Hurled on the keyboard of laughter after he posted that.

He has been looking to move out of there for years. apparently very unhappy with expectations

While they are high, Gundy has failed to live up to them every year. Without looking it up I know his record vs Oklahoma is below .500.

There is some bad blood between Gundy and Tboone. That is why he might leave OSU for Baylor.

He can't do better than that? I would think Gundy would be a very good candidate for a lot of jobs and seems to be on about everyone's short lists every year. Unless Baylor is actually going to break the bank. Gundy would be a great hire for Oregon. Baylor?! They are like 15th fiddle in their own state.

He said not all college coaches are about the money and he's right.

I agree with recruits.....

At this very moment leaving Oklahoma State for Baylor is a step in the wrong direction

All this is...... is Gundy working to get more money out of T-Boones pocket

Meanwhile, Baylor is going after Matt Ruhle....

Can you please list the guys that it is not about the money? Cause I am thinking that list might be a tad shorter than the ones that it is about the money

So let's see. You just rejected a coaching position at another school which would have doubled your salary from 2-4 Million, but you decided to forego the bigger bucks, not withstanding the short career span as. HC's generally so "you can build a program." Yeah, lot of coaches in this business with that mentality (just can't think of any. Crazy people don't last long in this business). Imagine look on wife's face! (She'll kill you!).

The current coach at Washington turned down better offers for years. Others have too.

Hail to Pitt!
