Has anyone been to the site lately? They've revamped it to only include video clips. There are no more written articles.

IMHO it's a horrible format. I look for articles to read about college football. Not video clips of Skip and Shannon; Cowherd; and whomever else they have on their TV / radio side of the business.

Is this something Millennials like?

Don't go to the site. I used to use ESPN then got fed up with them and started using CBS Sports. I agree I like to read. I am not a fan of most of the FOX people. Only exception is Shannin Sharpe. I absolutely hated him as a player. When he started doing a show on Sirius NFL I really grew to enjoy listening to him.

yeah they had two decent writers, Stew Mandel & Bruce Feldman that they canned. Mandel still a free agent, Feldman at SI. Don't understand the logic but they basically killed the site

I guess easier and cheaper to just pluck video segments from tv broadcasts and plop em into the web site to provide "content". Versus researching, writing, editing, providing still photos to complement, etc for text articles on the site.

I get it from that cost standpoint but I don't bother with that kind of content either. I prefer to read it. These companies simply don't get the "I can't watch and listen to clips in the men's room stall" factor either. :D

CNN website kind of moving in that direction too. Not much content anymore

gee, that sucks. Between that and all the subscriber "insider" crap on ESPN it is getting harder and harder just to get a simple sports section anymore. Worse than those annoying slideshows. Shame.

CBSSPORTS.COM, and cardiachill.com have been my go to sites for several years. CBS for college football in general, and Cardiac Hill for Pitt centric news. Of course, the Trib for Pitt news too.

As upj87 mentioned, ESPN lost me some time ago with their "insider" BSC.

SI still has some decent info, from time to time.

I agree and these were about the only two I would consistently read at Fox Sports, yet just found articles on Google. Never visited the website but saw screenshots this week and it looked awful.

ESPN just hired Jon Stewart to do Football Social Commentary Comedy, why CFB is now coming off my lists of following in 2017.

I wonder if it is the blogger affect...too many of them around to compete with that the legit sports sites are just throwing up their hands and getting out of the content business. Concentrate solely on TV.

I have no clue and won't be posting much later either, but I do know one thing, I never thought a Sports Network ever needed to sale itself by Commentators and Hosts like Jon Stewart......the Game Itself is why people watch! Commentators can assist but still the Games is Most Important, and Ratings drop far off after the Game is over!

So, no one is watching due to Commentators Talking is not the way to save ESPN! Just show great Games!

I quit NBA in 1980-86, Major League Baseball in 1990-95, NFL 2000-2012, and down to Hockey Playoffs only if PENS play in them, and after last years, one of the Best Years I ever saw in games from Start to Finish Seasons, ESPN ruined many of them with Talkers, invited Guests, and going to 5 to 7 Minute Commercials and missing plays and what happen, and now Jon Stewart......CFB not for me anymore.
