Miami's mega-booster, who has spent millions on NIL deals for Hurricanes athletes in recent years, told investors this week that there is "substantial doubt" that his company, LifeWallet, will stay in business, according to an SEC filing.

All of that advertising with Miami athletes must not have driven much business. I don't understand why this failed. I make all of my financial and spending decisions based on what teenage athletes advise in ads.

He knew those YouTube videos were never going to grow the company. But to his credit, he actually made the players put in a couple hours of work. That's old school I guess. These pay for play NIL deals now dont require anything at all other than being on the team.

They projected that revenue would be 963 million, but it ended up being 7.7 million? I don’t think NIL deals did him in. Gross incompetence or dishonesty did him in.
