OT: Kenny Pickett with Cam Hayward

Really good stuff. I learned a lot about the game and what makes Kenny so special. He is a winner!

Agree. Kenny sounded so confident without coming across as cocky. He's a hard worker, wants to learn and improve, and will continue to earn the respect of his teammates on both offense and defense. Looking forward to his and the Steelers development in the next few seasons

That's been my read on him. I always qualify expectations of him by saying he has a long way to go to prove he's "the guy" but I'm absolutely certain he will give every ounce of his being to try to get there.

I'm starting to lose my mind and thinking the Steelers should take Addison at 17 if he is still there.
They are going to have to score LOTS of points to win in the AFC North and the AFC as a whole.
Thank goodness for the extra pick, but with that pick they can think outside the box.

OT, OT, OT if there is a good one. Otherwise Addison is a great choice. Not for the Pitt connection, but if indeed he is the top rated receiver (or would be the top rated when the time comes to pick). If he isn’t the top one, take the top one.

I get maybe the idea of taking a CB. But the rules increasingly hamper the defense. An otherwise equally skilled (relative to position) defensive player is maybe 85% at best of what he could be, with the rules, especially a CB. While the offensive player is possibly 150% what he’d normally be, given favoritism to offense.

For that reason I just don’t think teams get their moneys worth with huge money defensive players, other than edge rushers (possibly).

Offense rules; Burrow, Mahomes etc aren’t the prime time game for nothing. Nobody wants to watch the Eagles/Niners in a 20-17 grinder in the doldrums of the afternoon. They are praying for a 49-48 shootout in the evening.

The Steelers have too much money wrapped up in the defense already, and generally have poor luck when taking defensive guys that high anyway.

So having said that, I’m sure Joey Porter II is a lock. 😄

@The Ole Six-Fiver, truth. That's my fear as well - another swing and a miss at a DB. Maybe better to find another Fitzpatrick through a trade or free agent pick-up

PI, PI, PI, Illegal Contact, Unnecessary Roughness, and Roughing The Passer. Over and over. When even Cam Hayward is drawing these preposterous calls, multiple times in successive weeks…just throw up your hands (and your lunch) especially if you grew up loving defensive football. It’s over, Johnny.

May as well just field a D of one or two good edge rushers, and a bunch of UFA at the rest of the positions.
