Neither would be without a job (or at least a good HC job offer) for long, but their schools' donors and fan bases are clearly unhappy with the lack of SEC titles and national title game relevance despite top 5 talent.
I'm curious how these jobs and those 2 highly respected HCs would affect what what may be the craziest coaching carousel ever.
Even winning a national title only buys a few years of job security in the current climate. When was the last time this many former national championship HCs were "available" to become P5 HCs again? Chizik, Miles, Spurrier (who is not retired btw), Fulmer, Tressel, Coker and Mack Brown each did not leave of their own accord and could be lured back as an HC next year. How's $10M/year sound for Miles or Richt?
