Seems like a bit more excitement this year with Kyle Dubas taking over. Get that next Cup.
Hopefully the new bottom 6 is better than the old bottom 6.
It is certainly unworthy to judge after one game but there were a lot of similarities to last year. Early lead but lots of blown opps to score even more; increasing breakdowns as the game progress; Jarry does them no good by giving up pedestrian goals.1 game overreaction: lipstick on a pig. Too old.
the fact that jeff carter is still playing either cracks me up or depresses me, or both.1 game overreaction: lipstick on a pig. Too old.
Those three aren't going anywhere as long as they're the reason the club is still selling out PPG.People complain about the Stillers being unwilling to change, maybe it's time to realize that Sid, Geno and Letang are not winning another Cup.
Just saying, I don't think they're going to win again. Those three aren't going anywhere as long as they're the reason the club is still selling out PPG.
I do think they will be in trouble after they're gone, unless they happen to be lucky enough to draft the next Mario or Sid.Those three aren't going anywhere as long as they're the reason the club is still selling out PPG.
Been saying that for a few years. You can't carry that much overpriced baggage in a league with a salary cap.Just saying, I don't think they're going to win again.
Indeed. If their intent was for mostly everyone who tuned in last night anticipating a change, to shake their heads, turn the channel and say “wow, SOP, let me know when it’s playoff time”, they succeeded wildly. I’ll probably not bother watching again until/if they become playoff eligible (or trade/demote Jarry, the Phil Jurkovec of NHL goalies). They really could have easily had four goals in the first period. Then in the second they looked tired. Chicago just dominated our end. Then the third….pfffft. It’s crazy they missed the playoffs by a game last year and this year they come out and treat an almost gimme game as if who cares. Ugh.
