Inspired by some of @recruitsreadtheseboards comments about the Pens' stretch of dominance, you have to put Pittsburgh in the top 5 or 6 luckiest fanbases in the US over the last 30 or so years right? In my lifetime, I've seen 2 super bowls and two more super bowl appearances, five stanley cups and another appearance, and even some stretches of good Pirates play in the early 90s and for a brief shimmer in the mid 2010s. Considering we don't have a basketball team, that's pretty darn good. If you throw in Pitt hoops even if they didn't win a title?

3: Pittsburgh
4: LA
5: New York? Maybe Philly if you throw in Villanova?
It's pretty impressive when you consider Chicago and LA have like 8 more teams than Pittsburgh.
