We all know the Steelers are el stinko on offense

But what about the rest of the league lol

Right now the league scoring average is 21.7 points per game

21

point

7

There have been only 5 seasons since 1999 (6 if you include 1999) with a lower team PPG average than this year. Plus 2 more seasons that ended at 21.7. That's 7 or 8 years out of 22 or 23

This is not to say Matt Canada shouldn't be fired or Kenny is playing super great. But outside of Philadelphia, SF, and Miami, who is consistently putting up points in this league? Nobody

NFL top 5 scoring offenses:

1. Miami 34.3 PPG (2 games scored 20 points or less out of 7 games played)
2. San Francisco 30.7 PPG (2 games scored 20 points or less out of 7 games played)
3. Buffalo 28.3 PPG (3 games scored 20 points or less out of 7 games played
4. Philadelphia 26.6 PPG (1 game scored 20 points or less out of 7 games played)
5. Dallas 25.7 PPG (3 games scored 20 points or less out of 6 games played)

And the mighty Fighting Mahomes?

6. Kansas City 25.4 PPG (3 games scored 20 points or less out of 7 games played)

Offense is at a pretty crazy premium all across the NFL right now. Scoring leaguewide is firmly stuck in mediocrity so far in 2023

At least we haven't reached the depths of 1992 and 1993 (team average 18.7 PPG both years) yet. OOF
