OT: NBA 2021-2022

First of all we've seen Harden play with an elite big man before, Dwight Howard, and it didn't work out well.

Also, Harden played with Chris Paul, Melo, and Westbrook on those Houston teams that you reference.

I get that it's only 2 games so far but Harden is +27, averaging 28 ppg, 14 assists, 9 boards, and is shooting 58%.

Embiid is +22, 36 ppg, and 9 boards.

They look like a really good fit together. Sixers are 2.5 games back from 1st in the EC. Ben Simmons is still out definitely.

Still(!) not ready to pick a team over Milwaukee but boy the Sixers look good.

As long as it’s not the Nets coming out of the east. #AnyoneButKD&Kyrie
But I was told that the Sixers got worse by trading a guy that was never playing for them ever again.

Just to be clear, my thoughts on them getting worse was having a thinner bench. Role guys play an important role in the playoffs. I think they'll miss Seth.

I was so wrong about Cam as a lottery pick. Knew he’d be a solid pro but thought the suns really reached there. Good for him!

Yeah and the biggest bright spot is Maxey is averaging 27 ppg in the 4 games with Harden on 37/57 shooting 64% from the field and 14/20 from 3 for 70%.

Lots of wide open looks.

Maxey looks downright incredible. The entire Sixers offense looks different. They move the ball constantly, almost too much. It's like watching an economy in 1870 versus 2022. Just so much faster and more decisive than playing 4 on 5 with Ben Simmons standing around.

Not only is he looking like a pick that deserved to go that high, but he is absolutely a perfectly placed piece for the Suns. If CP3 returns completely healthy, that team looks totally championship ready.

We should keep in mind that it’s still early but the initial results are incredible. I would have NEVER thought that Harden would be this positive for the 76ers chemistry mix.

Same. It’s honestly scary how well they are playing early.

I don’t expect Maxey to keep up shooting this hot but their ball movement has been incredible.

If they can play D at a decent level in the playoffs they are going to be a tough out.

Yeah. Harden and Embiid have meshed way more than I thought they would.

Also, bucks look like they’re starting to round into form. The second and third rounds of the east playoffs are going to be really good.

Here’s Cam Johnson’s numbers over his last five games …

23.4 points per game while only playing 29.4 minutes a game.

35-58 from the floor - 60%.
24-41 from three - 58.5%
22-23 FT

And a completely off the charts 85.88% true shooting percentage.
