I’ve been using a free VPN which is just okay and spotty with premium streaming sites.
We are back in Barcelona, and it works spottily with Netflix. Sometimes I can get Derry Girls Season 3 (as good as episodic comedy/drama gets) And sometimes I can’t. Kill me for watching this, but sometimes I can get the new season of the Geeat British Baking Show and sometimes I can’t. Last night I could watch it on my phone but not my IPad.
Prime seems to have its number and makes me watch the European versions of its shows. That is a problem because it blocks the new Shetland season. ESPN + relentlessly blocks me from watching any live sports. I really need it to watch Pitt. Not just football but soccer, volleyball, wrestling, lacrosse, baseball and softball. Hulu blocks me from everything. If Hulu really limits its programming to US viewers, I am screwed on Murders In the Building and Reservation Dogs among others. Apple TV is a mixed bag. Managed to get the third and final season of Trying, but waiting on Ted Lasso.
We are in the process of finalizing a deal for a one year lease on an apartment here, so this will be a high priority.
I will gladly pay the monthly cost of a VPN which will do the job. When we were in China for 3 weeks in 2017, the government blocked everything — emails, texts, websites. Then we got to the Four Seasons Chengdu and got 12 days worth of emails and texts plus the ability to see US News on CNN and read the Post and Times. It was an amazing VPN but very localized.
I really want to get a good one and any help will be greatly appreciated. The flat is in an extraordinary location and it has 4 bedrooms, so a space will be made for anyone who provides the winning VPN and wants to visit.
For PantherDDS and his wife whom we shared drinks with at the Hotel Colon recently, the new flat is no more than 150 yards from your hotel with a straight sight line.
