OT: No holding penalties on New England

Unbelievable, no wonder they win.

Hoping they lose tomorrow and would be great if it's due to overturned call or officials blown call.

That is impossible. No holding calls in 5 games. Refs are jaded by Brady and Patriot aura. They hold just like everybody else

what's the stat for run plays? I've seen some blatantly obvious holds on run plays that weren't called, not so sure the stat for that is much better.

Not a coincidence.
Just wondering, could you give us your opinion as to how the "this is how we (who work as doctors, lawyers, engineers and titans of business during the week) are going to put it in the tank for the Patriots" official's meetings might be conducted pre-game? Still have not figured out how they got that Jesse James kid to not hold on to the ball as he went to the ground...I'm thinking they got something on him (taxes maybe?).

This has to be the biggest conspiracy of silence since we faked that whole moon landing thing,.

This is the least interested I have ever been for a Super Bowl. I have not read any press or watched any shows on ESPN or NFL Network in the two weeks leading up to today.

I might not even watch the game.

There are some movies out that might be good to go see, or something on my DVR to finally watch.

There is a web site that tracks this stuff shown below that tracks this stuff. You can go through it in may different ways, I did, and they haven't had any holding calls since the Miami game. That's five games without any holding penalties. Steelers and Jacksonville both had more than 50 sacks for the year, no holding of any kind.

and if they get called for one, they have the best QB ever to convert. Also give credit to Pats O line for stepping their game up when it counts. They know if they give him time, they win.

so 85% of America along with the commissioner of the league hates and actively roots against the Patriots but the refs are 100% in the tank (their reputation and honor be damned) for them because of Brady manlove...now, that is the more plausible explanation, ...got it...

The way blocking is taught today, hands open and grabbing the bottom of the shoulder pads inside, holding could literally be called on every single play. But usually it is only called when the defender turns and the lineman doesn't let go or the lineman's hands move outside the shoulders. On the outside the defenders bull rush, swim, juke, or spin and it is harder for the ol to get his hands on the defender. In this case holding is more noticeable.
Holding is a judgment call and one team not having one holding call during the course of five games is improbable.

none so far today through one half either. No judgement call penalties on New England so far (only false start penalty(s)).

With New England down at halftime it will be interesting to see how the refs call the 2nd half

One holding call on Phila-Which converted a third and eight. Touchdown followed.

They get at least one penalty aided touchdown a game.

Glad both touchdowns were upheld and was amazed they didn't call something on the Hail Mary to bail them out.

It's like some of you guys never watched football before. Holding isn't called as much in the playoffs. You also have a QB that rarely holds onto the ball for more than a couple seconds. It's not weird at all. I thought the refs called the game pretty straight. Biggest call they blew was against the Pats on the 4th down TD. Eagles didn't have one of the tackles covered. Well, that and surviving the ground or whatever that is on Ertz's TD.
