OT: On one end of the coaching spectrum is Saban...

Dabo is a genuine human being, who can take time from his busy schedule to do things for others. He is the kind of guy that if you had a kid, you would love him to play for. Saban on the other hand, seems like his underwear is always just hiked a little to tight up his behind. He never smiles, you have to wonder if he even enjoys the incredible accomplishments he has achieved with that program.

Your last sentence on The Nictator does not seem to take even a few days to enjoy his Success(National Championships) might be true, but the first part of your post is not true at all. ESPN GameDay did a Feature this past Fall on a Guy with Down's Syndrome(I think that is his illness), who Saban sees at least 1 day per week to talk with him and listen to the Guy's Prediction of the Score for their Next Game.

Also, there seems to be a misconception that Players do not like to play for him, but if that was true, then there would be a high rate of Players transferring out of the Program(for Reasons other than like a Backup QB seeking PT, as happens at most Schools that Over-Recruit 4 & 5 Star Players at that Position).

As opposed to playing for him, I do think that The Nictator is actually more unpleasant to work for if you are an Assistant Coach under him, as he seems like a Cranky Boss, who screams at his employees as was shown on televised games several times how he would do this to Lane Kiffin(spelling?) during Games after a Play gone bad. Seems like it would be crappy to have to go to work for him 7 Days per week, never knowing when he might go off on you as a Coach on his Staff. It baffles me more that he gets Good Coaches to keep joining his Staff, but most leave after a few years, as seems like they get burnt out working for The Nictator.

That being said, I do think a Coach can learn a lot under The Nictator, if he can handle the difficult Work Environment. I am all for a Demanding Head Coach, but you need to have some balance on how to make that Work Environment so Assistant Coaches look forward to coming to work every day-IMO.
Bama Players are probably like, this dude is always on me like I never do anything right, but it could be worse(if any of those Players find out how their Position Coaches are treated at some Staff Meetings), and again they can see on the Sidelines during Games.

Just my take on what I have seen from the Outside and a few News Stories I have read or heard from College Football Sports Reporters on the Bama Program under The Nictator.

Not sure if I would want to play for Dabo, as being Agnostic, would not want to deal with his wearing his Faith on his Sleeves(although not sure how much he pushes it on his Players, and most Southern Players tend to be religious anyways before they decide to matriculate to Clemson or other Colleges in the South or anywhere-well the 'Right' Religion for The Bible Belt). It does seem that Dabo has had more Coaching Stability in recent years, so his Assistant Coaches like working for him(or is it access to Bowling Lanes and Mini Golf Course?), but then again, Clemson can pay their OC & DC more money(or close to the same) than what most Power 5 Schools even pay their Head Coach, so guess it provides those Coaches more time to wait for the Right Coaching Job to open and seek an interview.

I appreciate your thorough comments. Lots to consider, for sure.

Thanks. I do not post often on here but do watch most PITT FB & Men's BB Games, but check out this Forum at times. Prefer to 'waste' my internet time on a Music Forum.

I do like Narduzzi a lot, and just hope he can get better Recruits in the next few years, so he can have more success to be the PITT HC for a long time, as the debate of Talent vs Coaching still comes out to the Side of Talent, as if Milkdud did not get Barkley, he would have had 3-4 more Losses the last 2 Years that Barkley was on their Team and The CULT would have ran him out of Creepy Valley, if he had 4-5 Losses those 2 Seasons once their Sanctions Excuses expired. The Talent he is bringing in though just is getting better and will keep him at the 9-10 Wins Minimum despite his Terrible Game Day Coaching(Nice 4th & 5 Call versus tOSU last Season), unless he has more Losses to Teams with Lesser Talent like the Bowl Loss to Kentucky(A Basketball School).

Bama, Clemson & Georgia are just recruiting at such a Higher Level, that 2 of those 3 Schools will be in the 4 Teams Playoffs most years, although I expect with TV Money and 2 Power 5 Conferences getting shut out of the Playoffs completely the past 2 Years, we will have an 8 Teams Playoffs sooner than later, but just follow how many 4 & 5 Star Players each College FB Program lands most years and it usually correlates to a Team's Chance to Win or play for a National Title(exceptions of Average to Bad Head Coaches to name a few like Brady Hoke, Ron Zook, Clay Helton, and Ed Odgeron-the State of Louisiana puts the most Players per Capita in the NFL from a Study I read 5-7 years ago-IIRC, so LSU landing most of that Talent should at least beat Bama once in awhile, so the jury is still out on ED Odgeron). Chris Peterson is a really good Coach, but Washington is not getting the same Talent as Bama, Clemson, Georgia, Texas, tOSU(or was getting under Urban Meyer, so will see if their Recruiting of Top 5-7 Classes continues), etc.

Nick is also a pretty good giving person.....just does a lot of very good things as human as Dabo when no one is looking...and oh..Doesn't need the media to broadcast his good deeds!! Doing good deeds...no matter how accomplished is fine with me!!!
